Great Speedtest App Perfect For The T5

I was having problems running my usual Speedtest app. It was connecting to some faraway US server and I couldn't click on the drop-down menu to change servers because I don't have a fly mouse right now. It told me that my connection was 260 MB Upstream!!! and 26 down!o_O Absolutely ridiculous. I tried a couple of others and they were equally crazy. Then I stumbled upon this one. It's called Aniliti, It immediately connected to a nearby server ... as it should, and gave me 152 Down and 30 Up. Wow, it means this little T5 box has a wifi chip that can match the blistering speed of my new Galaxy s10 Plus!!! We're talking huge value for money here! Not the Galaxy ... the T5:). A flagship phone should be the fastest in the house. But now I have 2 screamers and one of them was a steal!

What's more Aniliti is free!

The more I peel back the layers and delve into this T5, the more it is surpassing my expectations! I can't wait to get my A3 keyboard and really put it through its paces!

Glad you're happy with the device :).

I too discovered aniliti recently and it appears to give the most accurate results than any other speed test!

Gracias!! pusb87, I tried https://www.nperf.com/en/ A professional-looking, elegant web app! Unfortunately, it does not work from Mexico on my T5. It connects to a far off L.A. server, not a nearby Mexican one. On my Galaxy s10 Plus, a different story. Finds a nearby Mexican server and gives me, for all intents and purposes) the same results as Aniliti does.

The new Firefox for Android TV is definitely a keeper! Good-bye Dolphin! What a great looking round cursor with a target dot right in the center for improved accuracy! The added privacy and anti-tracking, along with no ads is an added bonus! Some engineer(s) deserves a raise!

I have been using Firefox on PC (best Windows browser bar none!) since the earliest Internet Netscape days, so I'm glad they finally got Android right!

You can manually select a server if that helps.

I'm in the UK and if i connect via an LA server (8500Kms away !) it reports just over 1/2 my normal speeds ...not bad

My ISP is nominally 200 Down 20 Up

Mine is 18 Mb & 2 Mb :(

nPerf was my go to but i think the app stopped working!

Just tried latest version and works just fine. :)
I'm going to check it out for a comparison.

I have 2 U9's coming out of the same switch as the T5. They have a different speed test App which are showing slower results than Aniliti on the T5...... not sure if it's the App or the device..... could be what @pusb87 is meaning about Aniliti ?

I'm paying for 60 mbps & 10 ....I never see that at any device other than a desk top pc wired directly to the modem. All the MINIX devices are connected via Ethernet and usually see 25-30 mbps & 8....... definitely not an issue.

So from what I'm seeing, in general, we can advise anyone who is considering buying a T5 and is hesitating because of Wifi speed concerns, that they will be happy with their speed and compatibility?

Speaking of Android boxes and wifi.

My GT King was a nightmare, among many other things, for Wifi speed, it wouldn't connect at 5G, so I was taking a 60% speed hit. Then I finally figured out there was only one 5g port it would work on, not the default one, of course..... Murphys Law, after that I got 100MbS, but not 150 like this T5 puppy though!! Life is so much easier with it! When you've suffered from a POS you appreciate quality. My wife suggested I send the GT King back after 3 days ... before they put you in a mental asylum:p:LOL::ROFLMAO:o_O her words, not mine!

Ive just done a fews speed tests using ethernet connection 200 down, 20 up on my T5

and now not so sure what to believe

tests are
Nperf using firefox browser
Analiti app
Speedtest using Kodi addon ( available from Kodi repo)
