When I watch videos on kodi or youtube the video plays ok. But when I download a video and try to watch it on MX player vlc or kodi the video stop every 30 minutes or so. What can I do so the downloaded videos won't stop?
I play from minix u1's storage and from usb flash drive. It happens on every video files I downloaded from the internet. I tried different source same result.Where are you playing the source files from for a start? (I.e. attached hard drive, NAS, SD card, etc.)
Have you tried playing the same files from a different source? (Any difference or same result?)

I have this problem a long time. When I play the same file on my phone or another streamer(Kii pro) the file plays ok and don't stop.Do you have a (LEGAL) link or samples for others to test it isn't a problem with these source files themselves? (DO NOT post links to/discuss illegal downloads, however!!!)
Obviously this problem isn't at all normal. Countless others have no issues at all watching locally stored media. Not to mention, your U1 seems to play the same files perfectly well when you stream them which is obviously a good sign .
Did the device use to play your video files off the internal storage in the past without these problems or is this a problem that has developed more recently?

Thanks. I watched video file on mx player and it plays ok. So problem solved. If you're certain? Four choices really....
1. Try clearing the caches for the individual apps with the problems.
2. Try uninstalling/reinstalling the problem apps.
3. Try clearing the system cache.
4. Factory reset.
Obviously clearing the cache or trying to refresh the apps is still generally the preferred option before resorting to the absolute. Clearing the cache for the individual apps is easily accomplished, Google it. If memory serves the procedure for entering the U1's recovery mode to clear the entire cache is the same as the U9-H.....
1. Shut down the device.
2. Press & hold the main power button for 6+ seconds & release to boot into the recovery menu.
3. Use your remote to scroll down to wipe cache only !! Select it & wait for the message at the bottom of your screen that this has completed! (Seconds.)
4. Scroll back up to restart now & select it.
Try your videos again. If you see some improvement great . If not, then consider the factory reset especially if it's never been done or it's been years since the system was last refreshed as it may completely rejuvenate your U1. (Backup any important data/files to an SD card or any external source, your internal storage will obviously be wiped.)
You can begin the reset from the U1's settings, backup & restore options. Or, repeat the same steps as above & choose wipe data/factory reset instead of wipe cache.
Either way, let us know if this improves the problems you're experiencing !!

My apologies, thanks for your help.@Kezza
Illegal apps/sites are not allowed to discuss here.
The problem is not your minix device or internet.
