Spam emails from Minix Forum

Gmail is putting all email notifications of a thread I am watching into my spam folder.

Gmail has always done and I guess will continue to do this, even though I flag any forum emails it places in my spam folder as not spam.

Anyone else experiencing this with gmail, or know how to fix my issue?

Have you told Gmail that minix notifications are not spam?
It worked with me, now I receive all notifications in my main folder.

Thanks for reply.

Every time I see a Minix forum email in my spam folder, I open it and click not spam. Gmail moves it to my inbox, I have done this a number of times. Then the next Minix email I receive goes into spam :-(

I don't have this issue with any other emails, which is why I posted on Minix forum.

Any other suggestions?

Ok, i found the issue. The server is blacklisted on an anti-spam system

The sending IP (103.254.211.25) is listed on https://spamrl.com/.

If your message was wrongly rejected, please try to find other means to each out to the recipient so they can release & train the email from their spam quarantine and report your wrongly classified email to their antispam provider. This will not only resolve the immediate reputation issue, but also helps in improving your IP/domain reputation for the future. Although it was rejected with a 5xx error at SMTP level, they really can still access and release & train the email from their quarantine.

I will try a delist.

Not yet. Thanks for finding the issue though, and hopefully won't be too long. This has been going on for me since November 19th!

Please try this too :

Just received a notification email following your post in my spam folder, marked as not spam, moved to inbox.

Maybe next one will arrive in my inbox.

I will let you know as soon as that happens.

Sorry but I have no idea what any of that means. We are the recipients!
Still no improvement, but these things can take time to propagate through all the various inter-webs...

Just click on "Not a spam" button on each "spam" you received, as explained the anti-spam system will learn ;)

I have been doing that since November 19th, still without success. I'm no expert in Google's sorcery, but maybe this method only works when the alleged spamming IP hasn't been blacklisted?

Not sure how a brand new URL gets blacklisted for spamming, however as you mentioned, since it's not the URL itself that's been blacklisted, but the URL's sending IP address 103.254.211.25, which belongs to an organisation called buildcloud.cloud in Hong Kong, if other users using that same host have been spamming, then it would likely affect all users in that IP range, in which case whitelisting may be tricky!

Meantime, I keep clicking Not Spam...

Same here,.

Normally only takes one 'Not Spam' choice and subsequent emails from that sender land in my inbox.

I think so too !

This is still happening! For anyone bothered by it, it's simple enough to setup a Gmail filter for all incoming email from androsky60@gmail.com and check "Never send it to spam". (I won't do this though, purely because I'm curious as to how long this takes to resolve, and because I'm in the habit of checking my spam every day or two.)

Still happening for me too :-(
