One of the things I've noticed is that IPTV channels that constantly work without much freezing, start to freeze.

Proper LAN Reboot Procedure
In a lot of cases a complete LAN reboot is required. There are many reasons why such as firmware updates to modems & routers or ISP related issues.
1. Disconnect power from the device
2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the device if not Wifi
3. Disconnect power to the Router (or gateway if it is a modem router combo device)
4. Disconnect power to the Modem
5. Give all devices at least 30 seconds to completely power down after disconnecting the power
6. Reconnect power to the Modem — wait until it is fully powered up before proceeding
7. Reconnect power to the Router - wait until it is fully powered up before proceeding
8. Connect the Ethernet cable from the Router, if used, to the device
9. Connect power to the device — wait until device is fully started up

If you're having problems, give it a try, it often works for me.
 
I would suggest prior to this that you simply clear the cache of your IPTV application to see if that helps.
Then, I would recommend that if you wish to follow this procedure, that wherever possible, you should shutdown your devices in the proper way prior to disconnecting power leads.

Additionally, depending on a given user's location & their specific ISP I would also advise exercising caution by constantly recycling the modem connection for some DSL subscribers. In the wrong circumstances automated dynamic line management/attenuation systems could kick in by perceiving an error on the line & incrementally reduce or cap a subscribers maximum line speed. (Invariably when this happens the original line speed may be automatically restored again after a few hours once the user ceases cycling the connection & the line essentially becomes stable again. But, unfortunately some who repeatedly cycle their connection in this way may actually have to wait days, weeks, or possibly longer as they mess around contacting their ISP to go through the often ridiculous process of having said caps placed upon their line removed again because these automated systems themselves can be problematic too. (Not to mention that the customer call centres for certain ISP's can also be an absolute joke to deal with at times & such problems can drag on indefinitely as well.))

Where possible, it's best to try & troubleshoot the true source of the problem if it's really that persistent rather than reacting to certain symptoms of it. ( Having said that, if the above doesn't apply (i.e. DSL isn't a factor), & the user is happy to repeatedly cycle their connection as & when they experience any freezing then the information is still here for them :).
