Hi
I am looking for recommendations for a mouse with a few extra buttons that can be re mapped using software to do different things.
Just a couple of extra buttons is all that is needed.
Something relatively inexpensive, wireless and what software?
I am using a U9h with 7.1.2 if that matters.

Which remote/mouse do you already use with your U9-H? (The small/basic IR remote supplied with a U9-H, an A2 Lite/A3 air mouse or do you want something more like a traditional PC mouse, for example?)

Otherwise, what's your max budget?

Have you also heard of or looked into the Logitech Harmony remote range or must it specifically be a mouse?

Its got to be a mouse up to £50 currenty use a cheap logitech m185.

Invariably a traditional multifunction PC mouse has companion software/drivers that are typically required for the user to subjectively remap the individual buttons. You may not have too many options when it comes to a mouse with Android because of the OSs' primary purpose, (phones/tablets with a touchscreen).

You'll probably just get the basics of your existing basic M185 even with a multi-button mouse, or the extra buttons could literally be mapped to a random/preset character in Android that you can't change by default.

MINIX obviously developed their own range of air mouse for use with their media hubs with specifically mapped buttons to provide the sort of flexibility you've mentioned.

However, I certainly don't know it all & happy to be corrected, & hope someone may know of some options for you :). If you do end up getting stuck, could you use both your conventional mouse & say an A3?

I have tried an A3 and could not get on with it.
Years ago I tried one of these on my X7 and could only get one extra button to be recognized and remapped using some software.

What can't you get on with? The layout, functions, action, coordination?

It may seem a little odd at first but they're easy to use & adjust to. You can also adjust the pointer speed under the "language & input" settings (advanced settings), if that also makes it easier for you to control. It may help to reduce the pointer speed if you find the A3 too twitchy or inaccurate as well.

The Razer DeathAdder V2 is an excellent FPS gaming mouse. Its click latency is extremely low, and it has a very wide customizable CPI range and high max polling rate. All of its buttons can be reprogrammed, and it's comfortable enough to use for long gaming marathons. It's great for palm grip for any hand size, though smaller hands may have a harder time with claw or fingertip grip.
