Kodi 18 b5 is out

That's not possible unless there is a file reading issue over the network. Create and add an advancedsettings.xml to your local installation and retest (check Kodi for the examples) . If you are using DTS or DD5.1, your audio will be set to pass thru so its not being decoded and processed by Kodi The other issue could be a lack of storage space. Recheck the above and come back.

Hi

Have tried different settings and also have created advancedsetting.xml file. But with no luck still same random audio drop outs.

Have now added bug on kodi issue site

perhaps you would like to post your advancedsettings.xml if you believe this helps eliminate audio drops for others to try out

Double check the file name is definitely advancedsettings.xml or was that just a typo in your last post ;)???
Yes I have advancedsettings.xml sorry for typo.

Something strange when pasting code here is printscreen of the code instead.

just in case you werent aware you need to reboot kodi for new settings to take place.......
i also get audio dropouts very occasionally but nothing as bad as it seems that you get ( every 30-60 secs)

Kodi “Leia” v18.0-RC4 is out !

https://kodi.tv/download

Biggest issue I have been having with Kodi 18 Leia, even latest RC4, is it does not handle zip files correctly on Android.

When installing a build zip and also when I use an addon called iVue TV Guide which uses zip files during it's installation.

I have also seen posts where people have an issue with trying to recover a back up zip. I don't use the Backup recovery addon myself.

Have you experienced this, is there a work around?

The other issue I have is with MP3 Streams, when choosing an album to play you are given option to browse the album tracks, or play now which plays all the tracks on the album. On Leia RC4 (and previously RC1-3) if I choose play Kodi freezes.

Have you experienced this, is there a work around?

The above problems are not present in Kodi 17.6 or Kodi Leia RC4 on W10.

Final version is very close. I'm waiting this new version which is now able to use smbv3.

Very close concerns me as there are still a number of serious issues with Leia on Android.

I suggest people on an Android platform install a Kodi 17.6 clone and put their build in it.

At least if the Leia Release updates their Kodi 17.6 install and causes them issues they can use the clone as a contingency.

if the Leia Release updates their Kodi 17.6 install
only happens with kodi is installed from playstore and you have auto updates enabled......its why i reccomend sideloading kodi

good idea to have a 17.6 clone as a backup...its what i do as well, wbmc is a good choice for those wanting to do the same..

Are you 100% sure a sideloaded Kodi 17.6 won't be updated when Kodi 18 is released?
