Nope! Still can't get Foxtel Go in Australia, shows the box as rooted, even when the Fake HDMI is on
Have you tried deleting and then re-installing the Foxtel Go app?
Have you tried factory resetting the NEO U22-XJ?

There is no reason we can find that would cause root to still be detected.

I tried reinstalling and factory reset but still i have this root problem.

I haven't tried to install the firmware manually (I'll be this weekend)

Hi - I'm a new user of this box. I set it up and over wifi I downloaded the new FW and installed OK.
However, if I use my ethernet cable, I lose internet access.
This is what I've got on my settings:
Ethernet cable disconnected: Wifi On & logged in - all OK. DHCP works, IP address given - internet OK
Ethernet cable connected - Wifi Off - Box reports no connection. No IP - No internet
Ethernet cable connected - wifi on - Fakewifi On - Box reports its using Fakewifi - I see Correct IP address - Still no internet

When I use a wifi detector, the fakewifi is reporting a Internet Gateway of 0.0.0.0 and the original DNS of 4.4.4.4 which is not what my DHCP is feeding out. But oddly the IP address is what DHCP would have fed to the box. As soon as I remove the ethernet cable, DNS and DHCP return to what they should be.

The same ethernet connection works fine in my smart tv, so it's not the cable.

Is this Gateway 0.0.0.0 a FW bug? I can't understand why I get a ethernet IP address but no gateway information.

The update went through fine for me. Just wanted to check, if we have a timeline to have the HD audio pass-through issue fixed.

Glad your system has updated OK. Otherwise, please familiarise yourself with the forum rules especially with regards to requesting release dates etc. :).....

Many of us continue to wait for such a fix, nevertheless, it'll be ready when it's ready ;).

In the meantime, if you'd still like to experience HD audio with Kodi & your U22 you could also consider trying CoreELEC. HD audio works absolutely fine with CoreELEC & if you run it from a Micro SD card/USB flash drive you can easily boot between Android/CoreELEC as required.

Are you testing this with a VPN running?

Ok,I tried everything today (reinstalling,factory reset and manual install) and this root problem is still here.
It's not just me,all who have this T-com app(MaxTvToGo) have this root problem.

I have to go back now on firmware 005. Again :(

Solution to item 1:
I had a similar problem with Kodi on the U22 that I had not experienced on the U1. After further investigation on Kodi forums, it appears this has been an issue since Android 6 - obviously not a problem on the U1 due to Android 5. It is a permissions issue where essentially the "file manager" within Kodi does not have write/delete access to attached USB storage.

I moved all my local media from the root of the USB drive to USB drive folder /Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/ and set up the libraries accordingly. I am now able to use the file delete function when removing files from the Kodi library.

I finally did what you said! That's exactly how it is! Now I can delete files, make backups and transfer the covers to the HDD! Now I enjoy the whole performance of the Minix box! Thank you very much for everything! You helped me a lot!

Nope! still says it's rooted after doing all 3 suggestions
 
Hello. I encountered a problem with plex on my u22-xj, it does not play audio on a video, while in the pc and smartphone and u9-h are fine. happened to others? the audio codec is ac3 5.1 and video avi. any advice? it only does it with that video, I tried uninstalling application and reinstalling it but nothing to do... Thank you
 
I have the same problem, there are a view work arounds. The easiest one is when the movie is playing in plex hit the "ok" button on the minix remote, to the right bottom screen you will see 3 dots highlight them and click it, you will see a drop down menu and scroll down to "Play Back" settings, click on Quality and change it from "play original quality to "Convert Automatically" and just exit out of the menu. That should get you the sound working again. Good Luck

hello and thank you for answering. I tried it works but it reduces it to 230p the video, and wrapped doesn't even run it me by connection error. strange problem I don't know if it's a plex or minix problem... we hope for a future resolution.

Kodi has Plex plugin. It plays sound with no problem.
