I also tried addons for kodi but it doesn't solve problem. on other devices it works properly. is it a Minix problem? thank you in advance to those who give me an answer.

Dear minix team ,there are also some peopel how are asking manyTimes on this forum for touchscreen compatibility with u22xj like the u9h......x39
I Hope you understand that touchscreen compatibility is big + and some peopel are using touchscreen for play games ,remote, write, work, domotic...
Not put touchscreen "driver" in the u22xj is rear step compare to u9h how was the "old" box and work great with touchscreen ,so for the peopel how are buying the u22xj for upgrade u9h for newer Android version and stronger box for use with touchscreen this "feature" is very important !

Files has "copy to" and "move to" options.
Just install FX File Explorer, it has everything you want. The problem is: Minix have many thousand of customers, so no matter what file explorer they load by default, someone will not be happy. Personally, I have my "favourite" apps that I install on all my Android devices, regardless to the apps they have installed by default, just for the sake of consistency. X-plore is really not all that bad, it just take getting used to.

About wallpapers, why don't you resize your wallpaper picture to your screen resolution? AFAIK, this is not a Minix limitation but an Android one.

Top of my head I can't think of any of the pre-installed apps I still use. Is that a problem or something I fault Minix for? No, because there are thousands of apps available on Play Store (and elsewhere) to do any of the tasks I do on my U22.

Thé problem with the wallpaper IS not a problem of the résolution from the picture ...i try same as TV résolution ..its thé same ...this problèm is only on u22xj ,not on u9h,not on 8h plus, not on x39.........

As you Can see on the picture when i chose backround picture its full Size...After clic ok its "half" Size this is clearly a bug

The problem IS not to instal other filebrowser .....but put all this shoot out how not work ....take Space for nothing , useless, non-sens , impossible to deleate

MINIX have not released any Full OTA Image zip file updates for a long time other than for the NEO T5.

In the past they used to release each update with the option to download a Full OTA Image update zip file which you could install manually without losing data.
Also, in the past, OTA updates were usually quite small just adding the updated data required. Sometimes this could cause issues and the Full OTA Image zip file would be a quick fix.

Today, as far as I know, any OTA update is usually the full image.

When you use the FOTA Update app and the image is downloaded to your device, if you know where to look for this file, you can save it for later use and install it via the UPDATE app.

Take a look at this...

Nice, I didn't know that!
Also, I remember on one of my old Android devices running ICS, I was doing a thorough clean up as Ralf suggested, and deleted the default file browser to install FX Explorer. Problem was, once I deleted the default one... ooh-err, how do I install my own one now? I had to figure out the path to the apk and type it in the web browser.
On the other hand, the Minix also has "AppInstaller", so for that purpose, you'd still be able to install apks even if you removed both Files and FileBrowser.

Ralf: if you really want to remove them and use the rooted firmware version, use a root file explorer (e.g. X-plore) and delete their apk. As I said, I do not recommend, but it's up to you.
  • FileBrowser.apk is in System/Vendor/App, size: 467KB
  • packageinstall.apk is in System/preinstall and in data/app, size: 89KB. I really would leave it alone though.
  • X-plore is in System/preinstall, size is 7MB. So if you are concerned about space taken, that would be the one to remove.
By comparison, FX Explorer is 8.7MB, more than the total of all those, so arguably Minix default "bundle" is light weight.

I believe that "Files" is part of vanilla Android, so not sure where it's stored. I might be wrong, feel free to correct me.

Regarding your wallpaper, sorry, I thought it was not the same size as your screen resolution. If it is the same, then I don't know.
