LOL, this user has also been PM'ing me some of the same questions. It probably would have just been easier to ask everything here to begin with
.
FYI
@Silent_PRO ,
The U9-H isn't Netflix certified, so the actual Netflix app will only ever be SD quality at best. Having said that, some users have had success with the official Netflix Kodi add-on with regards to 1080p content, however, others have experienced various issues with the add-on too which made it unfeasible. (For example, I could indeed receive some content in 1080p approx 18 months ago while testing with the official Netflix Kodi add-on, but the choice of available movies & TV shows available to me was drastically reduced compared to the main 4K Netflix app & account native to my Panny TV or a 4K Sky Q box (UK 4K capable satellite TV).)
The same pretty much applies to Prime Video as Netflix.
All other relevant questions already answered via PM.
FW008 should certainly resolve your problems with HD audio, (as previously discussed). As with
@pusb87, my AVR also works fine with the U9-H & HD audio with Kodi. What's more, the vast majority of my 4K & 4K HDR library also played back absolutely fine in Kodi 17 & 18 with just a small handful of files experiencing a problem. Invariably, the problem was my files themselves rather than the device or firmware being an issue.
Let us know if everything is working OK with HD audio & FW008 !!!!???
As also discussed, I've never actually tested Kodi with my U9-H's either. I've only used Kodi 19 with CoreELEC on a MINIX Neo T5 or the U22 due to the known limitations of the official firmware for both devices. Or I've used Kodi 19 via MINIX Windows systems, the HD audio works well there too but as yet there hasn't been an official release of an Intel based device that supports HDR as well as HD audio. (Hopefully that's something to look forward to in the future
.)
Obviously, if you use Kodi very heavily & rarely use any other Android apps anyway and/or the official Kodi add-ons are also acceptable for your use, you could also consider keeping Android exactly as it is now, & run a CoreELEC dual boot with your U9-H. Worth considering if you really only use Kodi.
P.S. I always installed Kodi from the Play Store on the U9-H. I side-loaded an alpha or beta for testing purposes a couple of times. The Play Store installations are the same as the official Kodi website so if you're logged into Google anyway, just use the Play Store installation
. (You can turn off auto updates for Kodi specifically via the Play Store if you wish, but it was never an issue for me.)
Enjoy
