@MINIX - Martin can you please confirm us the existence of android 10 for this particular device?

And provide us the file for testing? (if available)

EraseFlash first!

I did, but firmware is downloaded only 2% and no image flash.

Boot box to just "Rockchip Kernal"

Ok. I did not use "erase flash"
The flash instructions that i own does not mention the need to use that option.
I always used as i remember well without "erase flash" option.

I've unpacked the firmware image along with an official image thinking it may be easy to spot something, but I understand nothing!!!:ROFLMAO:

From what I known there was never a android 10 was never released for this release. The last firmare we have tested/created was android 7
Who provided the firmware ?

Thanks
KAR

That is why i asked @MINIX - Martin.

I did not have an answer
Let´s wait for one official response from MINIX

Hi everyone -- based on what I found here, I reached out to MINIX for the firmware. They emailed me the following image URL:

They also sent the file tool and the driver:

I used a Windows-based laptop and followed the instructions. It wasn't working until I came back here and saw the "Erase Flash" step. Once I did that, it took about 10-15 minutes to download the firmware. I hooked it back up, and everything booted as expected into Android 10. It was a complete success.

A couple of other notes:
  • I did this because I have a Bluetooth-enabled dart board with a touch screen, and I use this in place of a phone or tablet. The app updated to require Android 8 or above. The app works flawlessly (minus its own kinks unrelated to the box).
  • I have had consistent issues with Bluetooth connectivity to the board. I purchased this antenna (High-gain antenna with an extension cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LPPML46) and haven't lost connection since. If this link doesn't work, you can look for anything that is a wifi antenna with an extension cable.
If you're uncomfortable with that link, I emailed with Alex (alex.lui@minix.com.hk) if you want to reach out to him directly.

I can confirm that with android tool V2.84 it works well (android 10 flashed)

Steps to flash:
1- app started
2-with option upgrade it gave me an error
3-had to use erase flash
4-Flash sucess

Note:
-X39-Android_10-V1.0B-20210825 seems to be the same ROM, same size and same name (provided before by @Android Tv Cache ) but i used the latest one provided by @Abcjr31

@Abcjr31 Thank you for your feedback.
I am testing the android 10 ROM.

First impressions:
-i miss the minix metro launcher (i don´t like the default launcher, quickstep)
-i was able to login into playstore after changing the screen resolution (the bottom bar is most of the times enable :(, i did not find yet how to disable it and if i can)
-ethernet is working great
-kodi 19.4 is working well with my sql database library, youtube for android tv is also working
-x plore file manager is working (downloaded from play store)
-default sound is also working (tv speakers)
-restart works

I will test other things and the stability of the ROM.
Thank you :)

More feedback of this android 10 ROM:

-shutdown dont work
-sleep does not work (and i can´t wake the device with for example remote power button, only with the device itself power button), the device crashed.
-IR remote settings key does not work
etc...

At this time:
-This ROM is not good enough for me, it fails in simple things.
-MINIX metro is unavailable
-I think the old FW004 7.1.2 ROM is much better:

in the Future:
-We need a new update, stabilty of the ROM, remove options (tablet or phone options, etc) that we dont need, fix the simple things.

But thank you anyway for the effort :)

First impressions : woow
The touchscreen work direct ! And it works better as previous firmwares !
Changing the language change direct the keyboard on screen to AZERTY ?no need to change keyboard settings separatly ?
Playstore work ?
Bluetooth sound work again

I have not found how to ajoust the screensize manualy so i have put the 16/9 1080p monitor to just scan in settings for have full screen ...if i put to auto or 16/9 i dont see the clock Time completly on the screen (minix x39 HDMI settings auto) i have add 3 pictures with monitor settings for see the clock in the corner

All in all i must Say they have make a great work !! small things to finish the firmware completly ,the return from the bluetooth sound and touchscreen how work better as before ????
@MINIX - Alex

Maybe it would be a good Idea to make the Google bar on home screen removable ..
I have not understand what is the Lightning app...
Great work !!!! Thanks a lot

My Dream is to make work the minix u22xj with touchscreen ! Like this New x39 Android 10 firmware...maybe one day ?
