NEO A2 Lite: Re-Pairing Remote and USB Receiver

Follow below instructions to re-pair NEO A2 Lite and USB receiver:

1. Remove both batteries, then reinsert.

2. Press Fn + P on the keyboard.

3. Caps LK & Fn LEDs will glow.

4. Plug the receiver into a USB port on your MINIX Media Hub for Android.

5. LEDs will flash three times when successfully paired.
 
I have one a2 lite and the power button on my t95z android box control the volume on the box. What can i do to solve that?

We only guarantee compatibility of NEO A2 Lite witih our range of MINIX Media Hubs for Android.
It is not fully compatible with our Android boxes, we cannot help with this problem.
 
I used my remote for a few months, after which it slowly started not working intermittently, until it completely died. Now only the infra-red on/off seems to be working. I don't seem to be able to pair it using the above instructions - only the LED in the middle turns on after re-inserting the batteries and holding FN + P. I then wait and wait until the LED goes off some 20 seconds later.

Inserting the receiver into my Win 10 machine does have it show up, but the remote is again quite dead. If I press the keyboard or buttons in e.g. notepad, after a while the blinking cursor freezes and stays solid. Is the receiver dead, or is the remote dead?

my problem similar new batteries press fn and p only fn lights up frt led center light stays illuminated press any button and main led doesnt illuminate bought july 2018

Hi all, I've bought a Minix Neo A2 Lite in december 2018.

It worked perfectly until 4 or 5 days ago. Now, the power button work, when I press the "fn" button the red middle led turn on, but other buttons works only occasionally.

Obviously I alredy buyed and tried new batteries but nothing changed.

Can someone help me?

Have you tried the repairing procedure in the first post under this thread? (You haven't stated if you've tried it or not!!)

I just done the repairing procedure in the first post. Middle led blink 3 times but nothing changed.

I can try something different?

Send a private message on this forum to @Minix -John. Explain the problems you are having as clearly as you can, & if you are able paste in a link to this forum thread for information as well. It would also be useful if you can provide copies of your electronic receipts as well ;).
 
Hello guys, I'm from Spain, so if my English is not perfect, don't be mad at me, I'm trying to do as best as I can.

I bought my [MINIX X8-H Plus] and the [NEO A2 Lite] air mouse on December 2014, in Amazon... I used it a lot, during many years, and I never had any problem with them (Box & controller)... but in March 2019, the controller stoped to works with the box, I tryed to solve it changing the batteries, recalibrating, and finally I found the solutution here, in this forum, and exactly in this post... I have to admit that the re-paired process is not exactly as your post shows.. it's basically the same, but the order isn't exactly that you perfectly explained... I was so excited with this forum and all the information, so I thought I was ready to upgrade the MINIX N8-H Plus firmware, from Kit-Kat, to Lollipop... I followed the steps carefully, and in few minutes my old X8 looked like new.. I had problems to re-pair again the box with the controler, because I didn't remember the correct process... but finally I had success.
Yesterday I had the same problem, but I couldn't solution the problem... I tried many diferent combinations, but I don't know if I forgot any step..
Power off the box.. batteries out of the Neo2.. unplug the USB.. and then, power ON, insert batteries, the led flash three times, push [Fn]+[P], plug the USB, and press [Fn]+[Caps Lock]... but it doesn't work.. I try many ways to re-paired, but I'm so tired now... the controler's led slill flashing, the buttons still working, the batteries are new.. but I lost the faith... and because of that I'm typing this (help) message..
Can anyone tell me please, what are the correct way to solve it?

Mines same, I bought it in June. And was on holiday for most of July.. I’ve changed the batteries three times in 8 weeks also. Tried to re-pair it as instructed on post.. only getting the Fn button lighting and no control over my minix.. help please

I have 3 A2 lite remotes on 2 shield tvs, and a minix neo u1. I lost the dongle for of 1 of the 3, and my puppy chewed another one just prior to this - so I have been using the chewed remote for about a year now. I just re paired the Remote I lost the original dongle for, to the dongle from my chewed remote. FYI This was done on my shield tv and here are the steps I did (I couldn't remember the exact steps so tried to complete it from what I could remember of the top of my head):
1. Remove batteries (mine was in a drawer for a year)
2. Unplug USB dongle from shield tv (it was already plugged in from using the chewed remote)
3. Put batteries in the A2 lite
4. Hold fn + P for 15-20 seconds. I was Not immediately paying attention to any LED lights however at the end of 15-20 seconds the lights on the front of the remote were solid.
5. Placed remote on top of shield tv (lights on the front of the remote were still solid) and plugged the dongle from my chewed remote into my Shield TV again
6. Within about 3-5 seconds the LED lights flashed and the remote worked!!


I believe this process is slightly different than stated above however thank you for the initial posting, it allowed me to use a remote I've considered just throwing away many times over the past year!

I also used to have issues with my batteries - on the first A2 lite I bought the FN and CAPS button did not light up but on the next 2 I purchased those lights stay illuminated- I found that even on the remote that the lights are not functional battery life was probably around a 500% increase by making sure I turned off FN and CAPS every time I finished using them

I believe there are two methods, one for re-pairing the remote with it's own dongle and one for pairing with a new/different dongle.

My a2 has been weird for months. You press pointer button and the center red light flaked for 5-10 mins before light went out and pointer appears on screen. This week a2 seems dead no lights at all, no light on caps lock either. Replaced batteries but nothing. Any ideas? Cheers
