Thinking of getting a U9-H as an update for my existing X8-H.

I want to use it feeding my 1440p monitor - 2560 x 1440 - can I set this resolution in the display settings on the U9-H?

I tested NEO U9-H on my 4K TV. I can't find 1440p, just 2160p, 1080p, 720p, 576p, 480p. I think it may not support 1440p resolution.

Hmmmm, many thanks for the reply.

That could be a deal-breaker then as I specifically need it for the new 32" 1440p monitor .

I have actually seen an Android box display settings screen offering that resolution in a web review recently - trouble is I can't remember which box!

Oh well, back to the search.

My understanding is that the display resolutions shown are only those that are supported by the TV / Monitor

so you may have to wait for an official response from minix or from someone who runs a u9-h on a 1440p capable tv/monitor ... my TV is 1080p so i cant check

OK thanks for that.

I think I follow your logic - are you saying when feeding your 1080p you are not offered the option of setting the display in the minix to 2160p as per the first reply above?

Although thinking about it the list he was offered included everything below 2160p with the exception of 1440p so it probably would have been there if it was a supported mode.

As you say, I really need a definitive answer from Minix I think.

Correct as I only have a 1080p TV. The minix and the TV "talk" to each other via EDID, the TV telling the Minx what display resolutions / frequency it can support.

possibly if the TV supports 1440

YES, unless someone else responds who has a 1440 capable display hooked upto a minix
