[Unofficial] - 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for the U1

I did a factory reset to clear my U1 and reconfigured with the apps I wanted.
I used my Minix A2 lite air mouse while configuring.
Then I thought I should check the small remote that comes with the U1 to make sure it was working and I got the message below and the directional and 'OK' buttons on the standard remote don't work.
Anyone know why I got the message and how I reconfigure my Minix standard remote so it works properly?
Edit:- needed to add this was from within Kodi 18.4, outside the Kodi app all buttons on the remote work OK,

Use this tool on amlogic devices that are Android 7.0+ to extract any files you need.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...ers/amlogic/opensource-amlogic-tools-t3786991

Finally got the time to look at the problem again. I was busy adding features and fix problems on my aTalk (open source), android xmpp client until now.

Many thanks, the tools is really wonderful. I managed to extract the bluetooh.default.so and copy to my mecool KIII pro. However I found that there is no change to the bluetooth behavior, still unable to find my ATH BT headset. I then installed an application from playstore i.e. BlueTooth Pair by Waylon Huang. I was able to use the tool to find my ATH-ANC900BT, paired and made the connection. I am now able to playback audio on the ATH bluetooth headset.

I use the same tool on my second unmodified mecool KIII pro device, it too works without a change to the bluetooth.default.so. Look like the problem is not the bluetooth.default.so. Any ideas where else can be the problem.

Also thanks for the https://smartyoutubetv.github.io/, it works very well with my U1.

It is OK. The BlueTooth Pair by Waylon Huang has resolved the problem. It can coexist with the box pre-installed bluetooth.apk. It does the auto-connect with the bluetooth device that is not recognized by the embedded bluetooth.apk.

EDIT Update:-

My Minix remote (Minix A1 I think)that came with my Minix U1 worked perfectly on home screen and all Apps including Kodi 17.6.

Only issue with Minix A1 directional and 'OK' buttons was with Kodi 18.x. The answer was to go into peripheral settings in Kodi and disable the Joystick addon. Once I did this the directional and 'OK' buttons worked in Kodi 18.5.

Checked my Kodi 17.6 install and Joystick addon was enabled, so I don't know if this is a Kodi 18.x bug which will be fixed.

My mate has the same issue on his shield remote, not applied fix/workaround yet, hopefully it will work.

Anyone else using Kodi 18.x and having issues with directional and 'OK' button on their A1 remotes that came with their Minix?

Not an A1. It is just known as the standard IR remote supplied with the device.

Thanks for info on name of remote "standard IR remote"

I believe the issue is a Kodi 18.x issue, not a ROM issue.

I'm just surprised more people haven't experience the issue I had.

Ever 1 hour the screensaver goes on or the hdmi goes off.

The daydream is switch off so i dont understand why the box goes to stand by after one hour ?!

Hello first of all thank you very much for the Rom. I have installed and uninstalled it 3 or 4 times especially for the issue of powering off and on with the remote and the hard drive that does not disconnect at all when turning off the Minix that made me return to the official Rom. But tired of this, I have decided to try your Rom for a while and although I have only been one day I am quite liking it. But I have several problems that you have tried the same before and I have not seen them: the headphones do not work for the jack connection, however in Coreelec yes, I do not find the samba server app and supersu does not update me the binaries I always get error . If you can help me I would be doubly grateful. A cordial greeting.

Thank you very much. I manage without the jack connection. I was referring to the samba server that had the official Minix Rom that was very simple to use to share files with a pc. But I can replace it with samba Coreelec. I will try its instructions to update the binaries. Thank you very much for your effort and dedication. A cordial greeting.

Hello. I am new to this thread. I would like to update my U1 to a newer version of Android. However, I don't own a Windows PC. IS there any software available for Macs to do this or any other way? I am grateful for any help you can give on this.
