I am still having major issue with the System UI not responding and freezing and rebooting it self is there a solution for this beside clearing Cache Data and clearing cache for all apps ? getting to be unenjoyable freezing alot any suggestions ??

its a bug tracker thread

so thank you for the reported bug, this will be addressed in future firmware updates if the bug is confirmed

OK thanks for the update.
Hope I reported it right and at the right place. Will stay tuned an hop to hear if and when there is a soution.
I suppose this is not an issue that anyone else is experiencing at the moment.

The problems arise with any HD audio formats and not just restricted to Atmos.
eg
Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos AC3 5.1 works fine
whereas
Dolby True HD with Dolby Atmos TrueHD 7.1 comes out as Linear PCM 2.0

.
How do I verify if I am getting the correct audio format?

Yes, this is the right place, thank you .

Re 1) This is a common feature with LG TV's and not just with the U22.
Re 2) Minix are aware of CEC issues already.

Hi All,

I just installed the update yesterday. I do not know is these are bug or just configuration issues:, but here goes...
Background info:
==================
TV: LG C9
Home theater: Denon AVC-X6500H
Media player: MINIX neo-u22-xj

Connection setup:
- Home theater connected to TV via e-ARC
- MINIX , SetTopBox , and all other devices are connected to the Home Theater to various corresponding ports.
==================

ISSUES:
==============
  1. Screen keeps disconnecting (irregularly and intermittently).
With that I mean that the tV screen goes black, says no connection and then comes back showing the screen where I was, and showing a brief
" Dolby Vision" pop up in the top right corner of the screen. (Also sometimes I see the message invalid format)
It seems as if the system keeps switchin to an fro from Dolby vision.
I tried to solve by going to: Settings > MINIX settings > Display > Screen resolution and there, turning off "Auto switch to best Dolby vision"
    >> But that does not seem to help. <<

  2. MINIX box seems to mess up my CEC setup.
When the MINIX is not attached (through HDMI), I can turn on the TV, and the Hometheater set goes on automatically.
And when I turn off the TV, the home theater set turns off.
But when I hook up the MINIX (and it is off), the home theater does not switch on anymore when it switch on the TV.
Only if the MINIX is on does the normal CEC behaviour return. (looks like MINIX then functions as a go through...
This happens weather or not CEC is enabled on the MINIX.
I hope that someone has an idea as to what this can be? an d what to do?

Thanks in advance.

I've been experiencing both & similar issues with a Sony STR-DN1080 AVR related to the U22, & HDMI.

It is frustrating but hopefully MINIX are on the case with a resolution. In the meantime all we can do is look for workarounds & be patient.

Nevertheless, thanks for reporting your observations :).

Thanks for the feedback.
Ad 1) Feature?? you say? >> can this be switched off then?
Ad 2) Good to know. will be patient for a resolve. For now i'll do some extra clicking on remotes ;-)

I used the word "feature"judiciously ...some may call it a bug , definetly a nuisance ;)
and NO you cannot turn it off
I have a LG C9 , have just sort of got used to it and accepted it now but it does spoil the experience of using the othewise exceptional TV

Ok. Box all good. Updated in all ways ok.
Problem, several random reboots & also several times there is a loud buzzing from the box & it shuts down. Just like it's overloaded or something.
Buzzing & shutdown happened twice in last two hours whilst watching regular HD films on an attached 4TB portable hard drive.
Not looking good so far, never had this problem with my old U1
Help & advice appreciated. Thanks

Of course it could be the brand new 4TB portable HDD I have attached, it could be faulty.
Will disconnect the HDD tomorrow & see if I can replicate the problem.

Ok, seems as this is not a HDD problem as I disconnected it and the issue persists.
Random restarts, black screen and a buzzing from the box momentarily.
Also have the cec problem

Hi Obrowne,
I'd like to confirm the exact way that you connect below devices, looking forward for your getting back.
- TV
- U22-XJ
- Home theater (including an Amplifier and 8 or 6 speakers).

some others have had this issue, sometimes "fixed" with a reboot or hot unplug/plugging of the hdmi cable for now until resolved with a firmware update
