Finless MINIX X8-H Plus Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) ROM 1.0

Can this ROM be installed with TWRP? I'm trying to flash it but it's giving me an error that the Image is larger than target device.

Hello dattard!
I don't think this firmware could be installed with TWRP (TWRP can install the ROM or some fix bugs packages with .zip files).
You should try to flash this ROM with USB Burning Tool. This tool is usually included in the ROM's zip file (in this forum). Just install it and follow the guide to the end of setting up.

Note: You can do some searching about "HOW TO FLASH FIRMWARE" in this forum for more details. Just do the steps exactly as the guide, it would be successful.

I have a new router and the Minix no longer connects to WIFI. It used to no problem. The internet company came and gave me a new router (same make as old one). I used to have the official 5.1 firmware and I just couldn't connect to WIFI. All other devices can connect no problem. I then changed to Finless ROM and still the same. The password is correct. It just says Saved. I then press connect and it says WIFI Connection Failure. Any ideas?

Not sure if this is a known issue with this Rom or not?

Although I have all my devices hooked up via Ethernet, I can check later if I experience the same issue and report back.

Thank you. The fact that it now happens with Finless and the Official Rom makes me think it is either the box itself or my new router. Very frustrating as the box can't be connected to ethernet from the bedroom.

Again, I'll check when I return home...

You could try a Powerline adapter if indeed WiFi won't work for you !
 
Just to update and let others know if they ever have a simlar problem. I gave up trying to fix it myself and called the internet service provider. He came with a new router (same problem). Managed to use the WiFi on the box from hotspotting from his phone. He then reconfigured the router and was able to connect it to my WiFi. I couldn't get more from him about it apart from a firmware issue. He didn't speak English so I couldn't understand when he was getting more technical. Thanks for helping.
 
Just installed this without issues, looking good so far! Does anyone know how can I get twrp installed again? I have an old twrp that did work for KK, I think it's from Finless Bob himself but not sure, can I just flash that one using the same process? Any links would be appreciated, I had a ton bookmarked but since the minixforum.com domain went down none of them work.
 
I’m having a problem with importing an image in my storage to an App I’m using. When I try it says NO APPS CAN PERFORM THIS ACTION. I’m thinking it has something to do with the camera app. I tried going into the app and changing permissions but it doesn’t allow me to change app permissions when I go to Apps-select app- click on permissions. Nothing happens.

Is there anyone that knows how to install Adobe Atmos on this rom?

I also can't play 4K 10 bit videos. The sound plays but the screen is either black or stuck on one scene. I know this device is supposed to support H.265 but it only works with 8bit videos.

Sorry man, that`s the non plus version. I have the X8-H Plus.
Any change you also have that one? (To what I understood they are different. In any case, I can`t get the one you offered installed)
