The Recovery Button is located on the left hand side of the device behind the antenna.

You will need a bent out paper clip or similar to depress the Recovery Button.
Paper Clip: It was invented in 1899. It hasn’t been improved upon since.

With the device powered Off.

Keep pressed the Recovery Button then press and release the Power Button.

MINIX Splash Screen is displayed.

~10 seconds the screen becomes black for ~2 seconds.

MINIX Splash Screen reappears.

The Recovery Button can be released.

~10 seconds the Recovery Menu appears.
 
Was about to do that today. Left the unit on overnight and for some odd reason it could not stay connected to any wifi signal. Would connected on boot, then drop - and never reconnect. Only thing I could think of was I plugged in a new webcam before starting up the box. Did a lot of rebooting before the box would finally stay connected.

Did go to a Reset in settings but wanted to know the PIN. Have no idea what this PIN is, thought that was only for cellular phones?

I have tried the option several times but did not help. Is there an other way to obtain the factory settings?
 
Sorry to be a pain. I have followed your instructions to the letter and whatever I do I cannot get past step three. It just hangs on the first Minix Splash Screen and does not progress any further, no matter what I try.

If I boot it normally it connects for a short while and then loses the connection. I just want to connect to add a couple of ADB commands so as I can see the running processes, as something is eating my U22 at night making it unusable.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

have you tried to flash a stable firmware ? Is it working ? (all data will be lost)

No, I don't want to do that, I just wanted it in recovery mode so as I could run a couple of ADB commands. It is working as it should but it slows down to an unusable state at times, which I'd like to investigate by accessing the running processes. I hope that makes sense.
 
After a days rest, I was busy with my U1, I tried it again this morning and it went straight in. No idea why, nothings changed, but at least it works. Sorry to have troubled you with it.
