I think you needed to check first which firmware the device already had!

You may already have the latest firmware!!!

Latest firmware is 9.3.16 .

Go to device preferences\about and check your version.

Me device has a customized firmware from an IPTV provider, for this reason i want to restore to latest factory firmware in order use all functionalities of the box. Please see photo attached above to see the actual version of the box.

Yes i already saw that.

I was almost sure it was a modified firmware.

Check also link #post 2.
First you need to download the firmware.
With the firmware downloaded try using SD CARD method (amlogic burn card maker).

As far as I am aware we don't have access to any flashable firmware for the T5. The firmwares that are available are full OTA images only valid if you have the correct MINIX firmware to start with!

I trust more on experience of the guys here, than the support of minix :) I will not give up .
I don't blame you :giggle:

If you could find a custom recovery like TWRP to boot into then it would not be problem as TWRP will bypass the checks and install the firmware, I have not found one that boots yet, I get the TWRP splash screen but it hangs there. I suspect it is because the bootloader is locked so it will take a bit more time to fiddle around unlocking the bootloader and seeing if it is the bootloader that is preventing TWRP from booting.
(TWRP for S905x2 u212 here)

I will keep trying and let you know if I have any success with TWRP.........

I have spent a lot of time trying to port a TWRP for the T5, I am so close it is ridiculous but still not there. I have one that boots into TWRP but the install update from zip fails, the backup function fails. The only thing I tested that worked was flashing the T5 stock recovery.img. I assume this all to do with the security around the Google certification of the T5......

Keep going on MIster, You recovered the recevery.img from zip file ? Please see attached file .
