Hi team,

I'm stuck at boot logo while trying to reinstall. I tried formatting usb many times but did not work

Hi,

Do you definitely own the Z83-4 Plus model? (I don't wish to sound like a condescending git, but it's not unheard of for users to confuse the specific Z83-4 model they own :).)

Are you following this guide to the letter?

https://theminixforum.com/index.php...3-4-firmware-re-installation-instructions.15/

Step 2 is very important or it will just get stuck at the boot logo.

Have you tried changing the boot order in the BIOS to set the USB flash drive as the primary boot device rather than using the (F11) boot menu?

Otherwise, if you are already doing this & more, could you please provide some additional information as to what you have already tried to resolve your problem. (It may save you & us time suggesting steps you may have already taken ;).)

Thank you very much for the response
I'm using NEO-Z83-4 Plus. This is what I have done... formatted USB Flash in NTFS format (Properties and selected NTFS & formatted) then I unzipped the file from this link https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/neo-z83-4-pro-windows-10-pro-os-image-1903.1943/ (This file was recieved from my supplier) then copied to root folder. Tried changing boot order but did not work.

You're welcome :).

It looks like you're using the wrong Win 10 image for the Z83-4 Plus model!!

You need to download the image above in post #1 of this thread (here)... https://theminixforum.com/index.php...windows-10-pro-os-image-1903.1944/#post-12563

Try that image, it should work as normal & intended :).

Keep us updated :).

Plus and Pro are the same image!

Z83-4_Pro(&Z83-4_Plus)-Win10_Pro_1903-20190925.zip

Good point :).

I just saw John's comment under the other thread that the image was only compatible for the Pro model, but yes, the point is they're both exactly the same images anyway.

When you say you're "copying the files to a root folder,"...... Are you creating a folder to place the unzipped folders/files into on the USB flash drive or copying them directly onto the flash drive as they are?

The unzipped folders/files must be placed directly on the flash drive without being in a folder.

(I realise this may be a simple turn of phrase, so just checking :)!!!)

Is there any plans to update the downloadable image to 20H2? Would like to have the latest OS on this before we deploy it to our client.
Does not offer to update from Windows 1909 when running check for Windows update.
Is there any compatibility issues with this Z83-4 Plus and version 2004 or 20H2?

Update: Tried to manually download the 20H2 update from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Website. After running for hours it reverted back to 1909. Same happened with trying to update to Version 2004 by running setup from USB from Windows OS.
Please advise if version 2004 or 20H2 have any known problems on this hardware.
To get to the newer versions of the Windows Pro OS do we have to wait for a new firmware to be released?
About to deploy 20 more of these in the near future and do not want to put them in with an OS that is over a year behind on updates.

it's 2022 and you're still providing an old OS image.

and, to add insult to injury, you don't even have a repository with all the drivers needed to get the best experience possible

There are all these but I have no idea how they differ exactly?!

Update through Windows update or if you need a new install use a Microsoft ISO with the Drivers provided by MINIX.
