1903 Woes

Hello,

Windows installed the latest update on my MINIX and after the update, the machine will boot to the UEFI shell. If I type in exit and hit enter, the machine will boot normally and Windows loads.

I went in and checked the BIOS to see if I can tell it to boot from Windows, and Windows is not an option in the boot list. I verified the latest BIOS was installed, and all is good on that front.

How can I fix the boot issue in the BIOS to allow it to boot directly from Windows, without needing to type exit and hit enter on the shell prompt?

Note: Windows is installed on the MINIX 128GB SSD, and I have the eMMC disabled.

Hi,

Minix will post a full validated Windows 1903 image soon. I think it's the best way to upgrade.

I tried 1903 and had the same issue. UEFI shell, no Windows boot option. Reverted to 1803.

(this was on a SSD with plenty of space)

It Got me too, I just set up some Z83-4 plus and ran the 1903 upgrade with no issue. Just a got a N42 with the Windows is installed on the MINIX 128GB SSD, and I also have the eMMC disabled. Long story short, I did the upgrade and I killed it as well and not in a good way...Downloading the ISO..
