I now have a U22-XJ, and I have only one complaint and one issue. The issue is a small one and it is that it is not entirely happy with the input from a Logitech K240 keyboard and mouse. My fears gained from this forum of it performing poorly are unfounded. The U22-XJ works as well, is faster and perhaps better than my U9-H with the apps that I choose and need to use. I have read that there have been issues using VPN's, I have had no problems with the VPN’s I use, those being Nord, PIA, VPN Private and VPNify. After an initial learning curve with the system layout and access I am finding it a joy to setup and customize. As with previous Minix Android products the firmware updates very quickly bring the performance of the units to peak.
However:
I am disappointed with the quality control on the finish of my U22-XJ, there are several flaws in the surface upper face of the unit, and whilst time and usage will undoubtedly add more it’s not what I have come to expect from Minix. The box arrived with the original packaging and wrapping intact so I guess it slipped through the net in the quality control department. Several years ago and for a short time only my orders of U9-H went through a similar issue in as much as the plastic cases were poorly finished with washed out black matt finish. I consider the Minix brand a premium product and appearance as well as performance is important.
 
Sure .. Please understand they are very difficult to capture and consist of very slight scuffing above Logo, and two marks that look like flaws in the manufacturing of the case one near the power input and the other on the bottom left hand side looking down .. I don't want to look like a pedant but I think I am making a fair point .. I am not asking for exchange product or anything like ... I give my observations in good faith with intent to help the Brand Minix .. that I think are excellent as is their support community.
