A3 looses connection

Suddenly, my A3 has started to loose connection with my U22-XJ. The only thing I can do is to reset the box or unplug and plug the A3 receiver. Then it reconnects but after a few movements or clicks it looses connection again. Any suggestions? Has anybody had the same problem?

Have you tried changing the batteries?

Might be a good idea to contact Minix Martin. If the remote is less than 1 year old, they should replace it. If you look inside the battery cover, there is a white label with a date and number on it.

Send that number and an email to Minix Martin. I have sent you his email address by PM. Don't think I am allowed to send you his address on a public forum.

In the meantime, you can still use the standard remote, which incidentally I use all the time. My A3 has sat here for the past 19 months and still functions with its original batteries.

Maybe cos I seldom use it, except to turn the box on. For some reason, the standard remote doesn't always turn the box on. Must be a senior moment remote??

Good luck.

Many thanks for your help dak7385. I think I tried to use the standard remote but it is quite unuseful with some of the apps I use. There is also an answer from Villa and I'll try what he's suggesting. If I'm not lucky I'll follow the steps you're proposing.

@calcubilla do you have any other devices connected via USB?

If so, disconnect them and see if you still have connection issues with the A3.
Many thanks for your answer, Villa. I've had a SIM dongle and a webcam connected to the box. I'm not at home these days but as soon as I get back I'll do that and tell you.

Thanks for the info Villa. Now at home, I've checked that the last tests I did were without the SIM dongle and the webcam. I've tried again, pairing the remote and at first it seemed to work but then failed again.
I've tried with an old A2 and it works perfectly so it seems to be the A3.
I'll contact Martin, as dak7385 suggested. I bought the box and the remote in April 2020. According to EU laws, everything bought by final users must have 2 years warranty but I don't know whether Minix would comply with this legal issues.

Hi my friends, this is just to let you know that Minix have fulfilled their warranty obligations according to EU regulations and they sent me a replacement for the defective A3.
I did it previously in private but I want to publicly thank Minix for their staff efforts to provide a fast and effective solution to my problem. I know that Minix community is going through difficult times but I can tell you that this time their response has been the one we all expect from a serious, devoted to their customers company.
