Ive racked what little brains i have for 2 days now, trying to figure out how to add kodi in es explorers drop down player list, current it only shows MX player, and i prefer Kodi for more vid/audio formats. any help will be appreciated.

Are you asking about a U9-H or another device? (Usually a good place to start ;)!!)

Otherwise, presumably you're trying to add Kodi to a drop down menu to start a given file actually playing directly from ES Explorer? (Yes/no/other?)

Not sure that you'll get Kodi to function in this manner given that it has its own file browser built in etc.

Simply run Kodi first & then navigate to the files you wish to play from Kodi's built in library or file viewer.

I have a U9-H for what ever reason i cannot get Kodi to see my desktop shares with wireless. with es explorer i can get it to see my shares, and when i go to stream a movie in ES explorer a drop down box shows choice of available players MX player. A couple years back it would also show Kodi which i would select to play dts atmos orTrueHD etc, which mx player wont. hence my quiry to be able to add Kodi back to that es explorer drop down list.

For whatever reason SMB would not work, but thankfully or more like luckily, i got UPnp up running, and all is well in my world again.
Thanks for all replys.

Not a good idea using UPnP (security reasons, heavy network traffic, etc..).

The best is to use NFS or SMB (second option).
