After a failed format, I'm stuck on Android robot! Is my box dead? Can't anything be done?

Hi everyone,

I've searched the forum but I couldn't quite seem to find anything to addressed my issue so I thought I'd ask.

I recently tried to start up an old Minix X8-H Plus box on a spare TV as I'm using the Neo U9-H on the main tv but after multiple attempts, it would get stuck on the Minix screen for 10/15 minutes. It would glow but nothing happened.

I attempted to access the boot menu by holding the reset + power button and attempted to reset the cache partition. The box completely froze. I also noticed "invalid argument" statements.

I unplugged the power and went back into the android menu and attempted to format the box but once again, it seemed to freeze. I have it a good 10 minutes but nothing so I was forced to unplug the power yet again.

Now, I can't even access the Android recovery menu as I get the Android robot spinner immediately after the Initial Minix screen but after a new minutes, that freezes too.

I'm not sure what is happening or if there is anything I can do or if the box is now toast.

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry, also, I attempted to do this approach because I was unable to have the box discovered by my computer and the USB burning tool or else I likely would have been fine.

Thank you! It seems putting the SD card in allowed it to continue without freezing .

Next step is trying to install Lollipop! Thanks again @Villa
