Might have the same issue. Firstly while I was on v4.4 I couldn't get playstore to open up then I noticed the new firmware and decided to upgrade. Noticed a couple of issues after upgrade.
- I'm connected to the internet via wire. Although I've set my router's internal network to start at x.x.x.10 my minix x8h plus refuses to connect to the next available ip as guided by the router's dhcp server instead it is set to 192.168.1.2. Advance connection though static ip is unsuccessful also, it totally refuses to cooperate.
- foxtel go is an app that I use. Through playstore I downloaded, reinstalled and logged on. When trying to watch video or live tv I get the msg that it will not play on a rooted device. Did a check root. It is not!!! Really weird!
Has anyone seen the same issues with their devices if so how did you bypass? Rather use 5.1.1 but might need to flash back to 4.4.2 if need be. Cheers
