Hello, I did this too. System installation with Win was only 32 bit. I read the bios only recognizes 32 bit installation. But I think Linux Distros go 64bit

You have to flash the BIOS with version 1.83 to be able do install Windows 10 ( 32-bit as the Z64 only has 2GB of RAM and I've tried build 2004 already ). Afterwards you only need to update some drivers ( encryption and I2C components which some of them are the audio ones ). I've made a .ZIP files with the needed ones.

I got the iso win 10 build 1909 from Microsoft. i upgraded to my old version without internet. then i installed the old driver pckg.zip from z64w. I activated the Windows Update Blocker and installed my system drivers with the free tool iobit driver booster. then I deactivated the update blocker and read the Windows updates manually. i am still using the old bios version from 6 years ago. had almost no problems. iobit can be reached in the support in the tool, they helped me with a problem within a week. I could not cope with the second bios version.

I just use MediaCreation Tool, do you think I should do the bios upgrade anyway? Then what does that bring me? V1.83 BIOS?

Well, it's the recommended one by Minix... and of course sets the whole system ready for a 32-bit Windows installation, as the Z64 has less than 4GB of RAM...

I like a bios where there are more functions. Just because an update from micro made the minix unusable and was the first recommended and also the upgrade from micr. I searched for a solution to use the first bios.
Just because it's old doesn't it have to be good? You know how I did that, I went to GManager and updated only the last three of the 5 I2C, so I read the first two. The win update left my z64 W alone. 64 bit Win could also work on a Z64W, just manually double the real AS memory Virtual? You even get old dual core PCs with slow AS again so quickly with Win 10 that they are still fun. I had prepared one that booted in 26 s in win 10 64 bit.

yes, I am not quite up to date, but I always prefer to download the win iso original with mcreation tool from microsoft every six months. You always have all the updates with you until spring and autumn.
I live here in the Stone Age and I have expensive mobile communications. Therefore as security always updates as much as possible free of charge so that you don't have to reload much when reinstall win 10.
