Another try with Android Lollipop OS FW for NEO X8-H Plus

Hello all,
In the last days i was giving another try to Android Lollipop OS FW for NEO X8-H Plus (i try it last year, no success on smooth video playback)
I updated my box by the USb burning Tool method (way much easier then Burning tool). I executed this twice (reset and Burning Tool use) -thinking that I'm doing something wrong (because of stuttering video issue)
This time i was thinking that maybe Kodi 18.7 version will have the ingredients for smooth playback!
It was figured out that, not the Kodi app or other is the problem!
I was installing all my apps....and Kodi 18.7-all those repos are working fine!
Only that the video playback is not smooth at all! in kodi 18.7 is very choppy on 1080p materials (stream or local-same thing). I have very good wifi.
So i proceeded to next settings one at the time:
1. in Minix settings Display setup-Screen resolution on/off Auto switch to best resolution; 1080p-60hz /4k225/30hz (for 4 k options the mouse pointer and the box is laggy!)
2. In kodi Setup: I disabled/enabled the mediacodec and mediacodec surface, disabled/enabled adjusting refresh...same thing....all the materials 1080p very stuttering/ choppy. Not a chance to playback Any of 4k materials on these version of Android 5.1.1 (in Android version 4.4.2 some of them played very smooth)
3. in Other movie apps same thing, the streaming videos are choppy/stuttering....all of this.
in Android 4.4.2., kodi minix 16.3/FTMC 16.2.3 are very old version and almost all addons doesn't work
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but is hard to believe since this year and last year i was installing/setting up this Android version 2 times each time!!
Thank you and i will appreciate for your help!
P.S. I was very attached and understanding with Minix boxes, but since the big price and the very poor support for their boxes lately (see Minix U9-h- i had a lot a trouble with one of my friend!! and the new Minix T5 and u22-xj) maybe there is time to move to other boxes, more and more box manufacturers offers constant official support during at least 2 years for their products!

You do understand how cheeky it is to come on this forum requesting help and then finishing off with a threat to change brands don't you. If you think that tactic will force the upper hand and magically have Minix release Android 10 for the X8-H Plus then you are sadly mistaken. I have a lot of experience on the X8-H Plus which I would have readily shared with you but you have rubbed me up the wrong way so from my point of view I wish you farwell and best of luck in your venture on moving to another brand, I could not encourage you more to make the move.

P.S the X8-H Plus received more than two years support after release including a complimentary upgrade to Lollipop that Minix were not obliged to release, on yer bike....

hello Marty,
You do understand how cheeky it is to come on this forum requesting help and then finishing off with a threat to change brands don't you.
First, no one threated no one/nothing.....there is no "or else", so chill out a bit, you're misjudging my words.
I respect you, but you know that i say is true.
To release a box model with one time Android So is not fair for the customers. And is not only Minix 8h plus model, it is also available for 9-H, U1!
P.S the X8-H Plus received more than two years support after release including a complimentary upgrade to Lollipop that Minix were not obliged to release, on yer bike....
The Lollipop RC for 8h-plus released by Minix, it was choppy-unfinished update, in any case not an Minix normal parameters adapted for video playback.
If you think that tactic will force the upper hand and magically have Minix release Android 10 for the X8-H Plus then you are sadly mistaken..
there are boxes who offered 2 OS version updates (starting to Nougat to Pie) on the almost same price...you know very well what I'm saying.
This isn't the point of my post.

You are not informed about minix support...
We are here, and in a sunday.
if you want to switch to the competition good luck.

Have a great sunday!

@notrui I saw and read your efforts here, also @Marty, and i respect you all, but the non-support issue is from the manufacturer.
You're trying to do your best, either there are a lot of issues with these expensive boxes.
now, on sunday, I see minix support!!:unsure:
So, I appreciated your work. But, from these and that certain kind of reaction there is a long way.
Ok.
Anyway, thanks for ..........:unsure::unsure:
You too have a great Sunday.

@golum9

I like to help but i also don´t like some comments.

Give us more details (Streaming from NAS?)

We don´t talk here about illegal addons.

Try for now restart router and minix.

You have to know that Kodi Can play some vidéos very fluid and other are stuttering ,this have nothing to do with Android version but with thé codec how are inside Kodi !!

For example Kodi Can not read without stuttering mkv vc-1 Blu Ray rip ,you Can buy NVIDIA shild and instal Kodi ,you will have thé same problèm!!

I use minix u9h/Minix-8hplus on my home network , playing Big filles from thé pc and it works !!

For the minix support : i use minix boxes now ~8 years and i Can Say that if i have a problem thé guys are here for help ,they make a good work !!
If i need to ré instal Android i have thé Android file /tuto... All thé things that you dont have with cheap boxes

For your problème :
You have stuttering problèm to play vidéo files ? Give mediainfo about thé files
For me all you Say gives just one result = you dont know how to do ,and this is not a problem of minix boxes
So ask thé right questions and you will have thé good answer ?

Notrui,
I specified the facts in my post. I don't use NAS, I don't use illegal addons. I'm using Minix for 6 years under android 4.4.2. I didn't have problem regarding video flawless until Lollipop install (4 times already)
I played same video files (movies) that worked flawless in kitkatt, are stuttering and choppy on Lollipop.
I just tested the BigBuckBunny videos: 1080 are stuttering, 4k are black screen in Kodi 18.7 and MInix kodi 16.3.
I was restarted router and Minix several times.
I haven't disrespect you and Marty, instead I was disrespected by Marty
I don't want to bother you.
Its ok, I will try to figured out with or not without Minix support.
I didn't like either marty and your approaches.
thanks again

@golum9
It also depends on the device:

For example X8h plus don´t play 10bit files, only 8 bits

Minix X8h plus works for me (streaming from NAS) but not in some files that i have.

The device is old and can not handle some videos (even with Lollipop).
