For all the right reasons, Microsoft Windows is the last choice operating system for many user requirements. I've been using other Minix products (such as Z83-4) with Linux Debian, Fedora, and Ubuntu variant distributions. Unfortunately there is no support here for Linux installation and it is possible to wipe away the ability to recover the ultimatum of a windows pre-installed prison. With a few proprietary issues. Linux does wonders to the efficiency of processor performance, stability, security, and its free.

On considering procurement, has anyone installed a Linux distribution of any kind to the N42C-4. What were the results? What did you expect?
 
I personally use Ubuntu sever lts on my z83-4 and n42c-4 without problems but never tried the desktop version. So I don't know if there are issues with proprietary hardware like sound, ...
