Any plans for Android 9 - Pie

I hope that this is the right section to post this in as well as an appropriate question. You can delete this if it is not. I have been a Minix user since 2015 with the initial purchase of the X8-h Plus and remember what a hassle it was trying to update it to Android 5.0. I currently have three U-9's. They have been functioning flawlessly. But to try and futureproof my tech toys, I was wondering if Minix is going to update the os. I have been waiting for the X39 as well as any updates to the os. Friends have other boxes which I will not name which run Android 9. One had received an OTA update to Android 9. I am a loyal user of Minix devices and was curious if the company is going to update the os and hardware. Is it their gentle way to say move-on? Please keep this friendly.

Thanks, Midnight for the quick response. No, I wasn't aware of that announcement. Are those devices available? I remember when Minix announced the news of the X39 at the previous IFA in Berlin. It was supposed to be sold November 2018 with soon to follow Android 7 update for other devices. Where can I purchase these...directly from Minix? Thank you for providing me new hope.

I'm not actually sure when these devices will be available for purchase.
The thread location I provided you has some expected release dates.
Check here often or hop onto the Official MINIX site for info as to purchasing these devices. One thing for sure, when they are a available for purchase you will notice new sections here !
 
Thanks again midnight. I will look up the specs online. I won't hold my breath for I am still waiting for the X39. But I will try and stay positive.
