Apple keyboard not working

I know it's a niche topic but I'm planning to use my T5 as a remote desktop client for my PC and I would love to use my Apple keyboard (wired) for that. I found it quite surprising when I learned it doesn't work with the device, even though when running COREELEC on it, with much older kernel, it works without any issues. Any remedies for that?
 
Great question. I have apple bluetooth keyboards and I'd love to use one with my U22. It recognizes, but can't seem to pair.

Can it be done?

I get to the point where I can punch in the pairing numbers, but it won't pair.

Interestingly I tried a newer bluetooth keyboard from my new iMac, the super flat key board and it paired, but the older battery keyboard wouldn't pair.
