Apps flashing only in settings, can't pick a app for minutes.

When I go to setting to force stop a program that often needs a new data file as soon as I enter /settings/apps the apps screen flashes and if I try to scroll through the apps to get to the one I want every flash sets the scrolling back to the start (apps that start with A), this goes on for about 2 minutes but can go on up to 5 minutes. (ON BOTH MY U9 boxes). I have no issues in any other areas other that settings, it only flashes in settings. Note I do have the box shut down instead of sleep but I can have the box up and running for a few hours and still settings flash. HELP EXPERTS.

OK: Since both my boxes do this can someone tell me if this is just "normal" for the U9?

One box doing that would be odd. Your two boxes doing that is outstanding. Calling for Experts would be the way. I wish there would be expertise about such a strange behaviour. No, it is not normal at all!

I would suggest that you try cache clearing both your boxes, and checking there is a correct amount of disk space available for the system to work properly. Is that the only symptom, and only in Settings? Because that also leave us probably out of some HDMI cable malfunction... o_O

No

I would suspect that you have either installed something rogue or changed some settings in dev options or similar on both boxes, which is causing this issue

Thanks all, the two boxes are mirrored so to speak, they have the setup up the exact same programs and even memory card brand and size, I have not installed that many aftermarket programs so it should be easy to find a rogue app. Thanks, I just did not want to waste time if it was a known issue.

Will do, yea, only two issues, flashing in settings and the version of kodi that came on the box often has audio (but not video) dropouts on Dolby Digital, DTS and the higher audio formats but that is normally just a power down and restart and it goes away. Memory is about half full tops.
