Kar, it will be fun if our device is up to date so we will keep using it
i read it in the forum before that it will not make a difference blah blah blah ,,,,

Still I don't know what you want to prove. I'm still using an x7 which was one of the first players... the point/problem with the u1 and other older devices is the chipmakers like amlogic or rockchip which don't support the newer sdk's.

I have two U9-H. I was using one which began grinding to a halt, app/system not responding and performing very slowly. :(
Rather than reset just now, I reflashed the other one which I had not been using for a while and installed only the apps I needed.
In just a few weeks this one is giving not responding issues too.
I don't recall ever having these issues with the U1 and I am going back to using that instead of the U9-H. ;)

I have one U9 and a U1 in our bedroom with my other U9 in the basement where my teenage kids watch TV. I recently moved the U1 downstairs for the kids to use because they were complaining about the U9 locking up on them.

Since moving the U1 downstairs, no more complaints!....they use a variety of Apps.
The U1 has always performed well (y)

Like @KAR still using an older device, I have family still happily using the X8-H Plus. (y)

On the subject of out dated devices, I still use an old mobile phone with KitKat. ;)

Out dated... R u serious? Plays 4k with atmos or dts x no issue... Fast 5ghz wifi ac... Also supports Libre ELEC (far superior to Android version of kodi) and easy to install.

Libre ELEC instead of Android... They have a huge forum to check out... Just a small usb drive and a pc will get any device that supports Libre ELEC the best it can possibly be. Just get Libre ELEC to much to type about my home theater setup.
plays 4k agree but atmos i do not agree, what player do you use? what is your setup ?

I still do :)
Works fine exept for adrressing my 4 HDD on a self-powered usb hub.
Not always recongnized in the same order.
Heard it is a known android issue.
