Background static noise

My T5 is suddenly making static background noise whenever playing something. The noise sounds like a poorly tuned FM station and comes through the speakers. It occurs on _any_ sound, regardless of the app. It's so bad and loud, it's almost impossible to watch anything.
Any clues?
 
Are you sure it's th T5 and not the tv, HDMI cable, Soundbar etc...?

Have you tried the box on a different tv with a different HDMI cable? It may be good to start eliminating potential variables.
