BIOS update needs clarification

I have a Neo J50C-4. The package comes with a 240Gb SSD, RAM has been upgrade to 16 (2x8) Gb. The Project Version is GML0B 0.10 x64 and the Minix Firmware Version is GML 2018-07-20 0.1

I have read somewhere that BIOS version 0.1 cannot be updated to 0.24, likely to brick the whole device. I need urgently to find out that if I can flash the BIOS?

I think you may be confusing this with a different device!
The Z83-4 has this disclaimer...

It is extremely important to check if the "Project Version" in BIOS is started with "CAT0A".
If the "Project Version" starts with "CAT0C", then you can't use this BIOS, otherwise the device will become a brick, no reaction and cannot boot.

I don't recall anything for the J50C-4.
As far as I'm aware to update to 0.24 is just fine.

All my J50C-4 have been updated to 0.24!

Oh, thanks dude. I will take the jump later tonight, hope it works out for me.

It is funny though, the present BIOS is set to boot in EFI but still no secure boot.

A new minix model with wifi 6 will be on my buying list next. Cheers!

I have successfully updated the BIOS to 0.24. What a relief.
