Bricked - How to bring it back when MCU Auto Start is enabled?

Thank you Pingouin, at this stage I will try anything as nothing has worked of yet. I will keep you posted

Have you actually emailed MINIX support directly to ask their advice? (It may well be quicker than them responding here & whilst it's probably not looking good at this stage due to the known issues if the MCU was enabled, & a flash attempted, they may know of a recovery procedure you could try.)

Thank you Arctic Wolf, I never thought they would reply to individuals. I will email them. I guess it is Minix HK

Hello All, Good news, went out yesterday and bought myself a windows computer, downloaded the latest software and on first click everything went smoothly first time. Couldn't believe it. Thank you everyone for all your help.
So you are saying you have successfully reflashed the firmware?!

What i understand is you solve your problem.

One of the problems must have been with your old windows PC (installed software, etc).

Your Windows PC must work well when you manual flash the device.

Some tips:
-disable temporarily your anti-virus/firewall
-use only the programs (windows) you really need
-when flashing disable internet connection
-use recommended amlogic tool

-keep your windows pc up to date and with the drivers installed.

Yes Villa, all back working again. It flashed this time as it should, no hickups or problems at all.

Well done mate, glad you're all sorted now :).

My HP Omen gaming laptop just will not flash a U22 regardless!! (It's flashed U9-Hs or X39s, or other tablets/phones just fine, however.)

My Surface Pro won't flash a U22 either but has also flashed a U9-H.

Others have also had the same issue with their respective systems (obviously now including you too), so you definitely need to try another PC if everything repeatedly fails with the first. (I have to dig out an older Toshiba touchscreen laptop to get the job done. Although, a MINIX N42/J50-C4 will also work fine too they're not as easy for me to access for the purposes of flashing as they're essentially installed with my other HT hardware.)

Lesson learned lol!! Always try another PC before giving up ;).

Very strange, I love the U22 but many teething problems. The main one for me is to use my Logitech K400 keyboard. Maybe the box is just too sensitive. That is probably why my box wouldn't flash, as notrui said because of settings or framework or even anivirus was different on the other computers. Have you tried a factory reset of your computer to see if it would allow you to flash your U22. Anyway glad to have it back and working

It is indeed strange but my guess would be hardware rather than software.

When I attempted to flash a U22 with the Surface Pro, as one example, it was brand spanking new & very little yet installed upon it indeed.

The older Toshiba laptop (Win 10 too) that works also has the same security suite & software to the HP Omen as well that won't flash a U22, so it's a far deeper issue than installed software.

The N42C-4 also has the same security suite & the same software as the above devices too but that will also successfully flash a U22 lol.

Unfortunately, there's no guarantees with this problem & you could ultimately try uninstalling half your important apps or end up factory resetting an important Win 10 system purely for the sake of attempting to flash a U22, & then still end up getting absolutely nowhere. (Not to mention all that time lost plus the time it'd take to sort out your Win 10 system again ;).)

Better to try, beg, borrow (or steal lol ;)) another PC than essentially gutting an important Win 10 system that in some cases contain people's entire lives (professional and/or domestic) that's just not playing ball with flashing a U22 IMHO ;).

Well i deleted everything before I bought the new computer and flashed it again. I would of thought it would no longer know if the MCU power function was off or on.
