Bricked - How to bring it back when MCU Auto Start is enabled?

Just tried the box again it has been unplugged for over an hour. Held the pin in and plugged the power lead in. The screen went from no hdmi signal to a blank screen for about 3 seconds and returned to no hdmi signal. I hope Marty can help if he comes online, because I am at a loss what to do now.
What firmware version were you on?

Edit: FW006 by the looks of things, I will PM you:

Marty I managed to get into recovery simply by switching the TV off and back on but i had to work blindly at first. The strange thing is after following your instructions it appears i don't have an internal storage anymore. It's probably easier if I show the pictures. Please excuse the quality, taken on an old phone

That does not look good I'm afraid. If you follow the tutorial to backup can you take a picture when you get to the partition selection screen (the picture in step 7 of the tutorial), if there are no partitions then it means your eMMC has crashed on you.

Would this work?
Method 2 (Obviously ignoring the Lock Screen stuff)

More ideas here...

I also read that you can try Wipe, Format Data...
"FORMAT DATA in TWRP - after doing this your internal storage should be back and not show 0MB"

...then what you need to do is anyone's guess!?

Villa thank you for the links I will read them with great interest and try the suggestions. Will let you all know if I have any news

OK I tried the 3 links with the variations on wiping etc and nothing will work. I still cannot mount anything other than the sd card inside. It looks like I have bricked my box...Am I the first to of done this? I really thought they were unbrickable, had problems in the past with my old X7 and U1 but always managed to bring them back to life again. Is their a program to fix/rewrite the eMMC or is the box truly done for :(

Hello again, you will see I have had the same problem when I tried to install an unofficial Rom that I should never have installed and more so considering that my U22-XJ gives me many problems to flash. The fact is that I was blocked as you are exactly the same. The system did not appear with the TWRP and I tried on my own the third idea of Villa (Wipe, Format Data ..) and then the system appeared. But still I could not reboot the device with TWRP and I tried desperately to flash and I got it and installed 005FW with the pc and the recording tool. That is, after trying successively so that the Minix would recognize me.
I hope it helps you luck.

Thanks Uno for the information, bid you also have MCU Auto start enabled. The reason I ask is that is has been said you cannot flash the box when this is on and will bomb out which happened to me several times at 3% I just got errors. I don’t have my own computer but can get access to one. I just haven’t tried yet because TWRP is telling me that it cannot mount anything only SD card. Marty seems to think it is the eMMC has crashed. Is there a way to install an image directly from a sd card or USB to the box.

Hello, I would try to flash despite the MCU, I have ever achieved it while the MCU is connected. But for this you must first recover the system with the idea of Villa de Wipe, Format Data ... I think TWRP will allow it, mine was just as blocked as yours. And from my ignorance I think that blocking is what prevented you from flashing. That is why it is vital that you recover the system with TWRP. As for installing an image with the sd card, I do not advise you, I tried it and the U22 crashed and I had to flash, but it is your decision.
Luck.

This was based purely on the initial information provided, if it was only SuperSU that you installed then I would have to say your eMMC bit the dust along the way, but now it would seem more so that some kind of encryption has taken place so are you sure it was only SuperSU that you messed with?

I can’t think of anything... but it all seemed to of got worse after I tried to flash the box. I could no longer get into factory reset. But the 3rd time I tried to flash the box I think I might of ticked an extra box about erasing... but I can’t remember. Could I of erased everything when I was trying to flash.

Try the following:
- In twrp, go to wipe, advance wipe
- Select data, then select repair or change file system
- Select change file system
- Make note of the existing file system format
- Change the file system to ext2
- Select the back button and change the the file system back to the original file system
- Go back to the main twrp menu

Your internal storage, hopefully, should now be displayed properly with more than 0MB.

Thank you Moosejaw, I did try all that and still no change. I am going to attempt to burn install an image directly. At this stage I have nothing to loose. I will let you know if I have any luck.
