I have an IPTV Streamers subscription - with an Internet connection speed of around 17 MBPS. When I try to load 90% of the programmes it just buffers and the wheel goes round and round - then eventually times out. Is there anything I can check on the Minix box to improve the streaming so that I can view my programmes ?.

If you have that problems the best thing is :
- first USE ETHERNET CONNECTION (GIGABIT IF POSSIBLE )
- do a factory reset on your router
- if that dont work you can try also do a factory reset on your minix
Use a official firmware and not custom rom
Check if your internet speed is correct by doing a speetest and if you can login into your router and verify your internet speed also.
