Can I install Windows OS on a NEO Z-64A..

#1
Hi,

Because I cannot remotely manage several NEO Z64 Android devices anymore with Teamviewer, because de host app of team viewer does not seen to compatible anymore, AND we cannot pay for a commercial license (we are a small non profit volunteers organisation), looked everywhere for a good (free) alternative for remotely manage Android and could NOT find it, I ask myself:

Is it possible to install a BIOS for Windows, and Windows itself to a Z64 that’s sold as a android (4.4,4)

Thank you for any useful information

Let us know how you get on.
Until now no success: altough perfect instructions (forum.freaktab.com) how to perform - to start with - a bios conversion from A to W, all links to the needed conversion BIOS files seem to be dead... Also the earlier links to Minix.com.hk... So... no results yet.

We don't recommend attempting to switch from Android OS to Windows OS on NEO Z64-A because it is too easy to brick the device.
So, we don't post the instructions or provide assistance how to do it.

I did it last year there was a video on how to do it. Wasn.t easy that I remember. The Windows licence I purchased was not valid so I dumped the box, U9-h and now the T5.

if you've got a windows 32bit iso, it's not that hard. Its possible to flash the windows bios on the android box. You must use the ftp64.efi and the fparts.txt from the android bios download to flash the windows bios

With all respect John, several devices became useless to us due to the age of Android version and, and dropping support by some - for us - important app developers. Altough the internal memory is very limited we ARE succesfully using a W version of ze Z64. AND - as a non profit organisation we can buy legal windows licenses for a few bucks. Your answer means that we can throw away several devices, you can not hold it agains me that i am at least trying to avoid this.... I am a big boy and can take my own responsabilty with such action, same as other readers of this forum...
In this: i ask myself where the original forum "minixforum.com" has gone (where it now is thenewminixforum.com) i see several usefull links to this non-existant forum...... Thank you.

Nailed it. Thank you. Running on latest Win Pro 32b now, about 10Gb free after cleanup. Not much, but sufficient.

We only make our recommendations, we do not stop anyone from trying to convert if they wish.

We just don’t provide official support for the conversion process.
I don’t think you will appreciate it if I write all steps to convert the Z64A to a Z64 Windows here in this forum ? I figured it out.. Would like to know before I put much effort in it... (and my contribution maybe removed).
Thank you.
