CEC Turning on my AVR and switching inputs

Hi All,

I am a newby with a just purchased Neo U9-H plugged into a Pioneer VSX-832 via HDMI which is then plugged into a LG 55LJ5500 TV via HDMI. The NEO is running android 6.1 and Kodi 17.3 and the Neo's software was updated when first out of the box to the latest served. Everything is working fine except....

I have noticed a strange result when I turn off the AVR while watching the cable input (not the Neo which is on as well). The AVR will power down for a few seconds and then automatically boot up in the NEO's input. I guess there is a command being sent to the powered down AVR to switch inputs and start up. The AVR has pass-through on etc. I tested it with the NEO in standby and it did not power the AVR up.

I am hoping there is a setting I can switch to not have the NEO assume control of the AVR when its off but I know very little about CEC and don't really know where to start after a look through all of the setting panels on both the NEO and the AVR didn't ring any bells for me. The NEO is set to never sleep (the default) so I suppose I could set a time out for it to go into standby, but I was hoping for some way to set the priority of the CEC sequence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
