Finish ,i test coreelec with sd card and vc-1 rip on USB stick ,works great ?????
I just finish to instal it in intern memory ,by by Android....?
But (il y a toujours autre chose ,un truc de dingue )
Before when i use Android Kodi i Can easy accès to my hard drives in pc with smb ..
This not work with coreelec ?
Maybe i must change some settings in coreelec ??
When i clic smb i see workgroup ,then my pc,but when i clic on my pc -erreur opération not permitted .......

Yes it does work

From memory you may have to enable and match the SMB settings of coreelec and your win pc

It works ,
This not work like Android Kodi ,you need to make acount in pc with password ...
And give thé complet path in coreelec....

Server: (Windows PC for example)
-Use your administrator account and create a password.
-share the folders you need and give it permissions.

Client:
Minix box for example (kodi) - is just add your shared folders from the server (same workgroup)

@Alexdroid It's nothing to do with CoreELEC - it's a pain to set up with Kodi
Here's a pretty good step by step process on how to configure it -

(I have no affiliation with that Youtuber - just did a quick search for you and that one looks pretty thorough with detailed procedure)

Lately when I power off led light stays green (Sleep) instead of switching off completely, anyone knows why?

Have you found a solution for this? I'm having the same problem, the U9 doesn't power down but goes into sleep mode.

no, minx goes into suspension with green led with coreelec. of course it does not depend on minix.

Working great, I decided to install onto internal memory and it's working very smoothly, video playback and streaming very nice, no stutter at all (so far)....

Creator tool option

• Download creation tool (https://libreelec.tv/2016/08/usb-sd-creator/ )
• Download last *.tar CoreELEC release S912 Soc (https://github.com/CoreELEC/CoreELEC/releases)
  • example the CoreELEC-KVIM.arm-8.95.5.tar or newer version
• Download S912 dtb file (https://github.com/CoreELEC/device-trees-amlogic). For Minix U9-H : gxm_q200_2g_minix_neo_u9.dts
  • you can also unzip the .tar version CoreELEC-S912.arm-8.95.5\3rdparty\bootloader\device_trees
• Open program creator tool
• choose version [amlogic s905/s/d/w]
• select the .tar file of CoreELEC
• write to your SD card
• Rename gxm_q200_2g_minix_neo_u9.dts --> dtb.img
• write the dtb.img into the root of your sd card and you are set

Hey,
I'm following this guide for Windows and noticed that selecting version "[amlogic s905/s/d/w]" doesn't exist (see screenshot).
Is that normal? If I downloaded the .tar, is it really necessary to select a version?
Also, if new versions of that program removed it, can someone upload a program which still has it??
Any leads would really be appreciated

All is going well and only 10% of RAM used without Android running

That said, I’ve noticed when pressing “Power Off” on the remote the U9 actually goes to sleep. I’ve looked everywhere in settings and couldn’t find anything to resolve this.

Is there a way to Power Off the unit instead of putting it into standby with the remote?

isnt there an option in the power menu to power off ?

Is it possible to install CoreElec straight into Minix memory. I’ve managed to get it to boot straight into it via the tutorial but it seems to still depend on the MicroSD being inserted.

I’m asking because back when I had kodi+Android I noticed having the MicroSD hooked created a slight lag loading things while in kodi (most likely because it was utilizing the MicroSD) and I’ve noticed I have a similar lag in kodi now..
