Could someone explain what is the difference between the CoreELEC -ng releases and the non -ng releases.

Are the -ng releases aimed at certain hardware, and if so, what hardware?

Thanks.

-ng releases are for generic S905X2 devices, ie no name brand boxes.

I've just seen on the CoreElec forum someone saying -ng stands for New Generation S905X2, S905X3 and S922X, we learn something new every day (y)

Ok, thank you.

What's in the U22, is it one of the "New Generation"? Oh well, have to wait for CoreELEC to support the U22 first. LOL.
