Hello
I have a poroblema on coreelec installed on usb key unfortunately it goes for a period and then it crashes and makes me the key unused with write protection, so already 2 locked keys don't see them anymore even pc. tips?

Hi,

I already had this issue.
EaseUS Partition Master helped me to recover the usb key (remove partion and create a new one).

Hello Skynet
I tried as you suggested but unfortunately the 2 USB keys don't detect them anymore they seem "dead" ... now I have made a third key I hope it doesn't damage me that too.

Hello. I never installed coreelec.
I have an idea how it works and i saw a youtube video.
You can try with another usb stick.

Did you try the DISKPART command in a Windows PC?
I'm asking because that seems to be the best way to regain access to bootable USB drives that seem to die for no reason. Yours is apparently one (several) of these situations.

EDIT
Here is a good video about it. Should it not work the first try, run "clean" again, it should bring the USB back to life. Run CMD as admin for it to work.

Do you have a sound when you plug one "dead" USB key in a Windows PC ?

YES, I confirm the sound but in "negative" and I don't see anything on the PC resources. I will try the advice of CybeRider as soon as I can.

Could it be as simple as windows just not assigning the USB stick a drive letter?

Go into Administrative Tools and select Computer Management. In Computer Management select (left pane) Disk Management.

When Disk Management opens it will list all the attached drives and the Drive Letters assigned to each.

Is the USB Stick listed, but no drive letter assigned? If so, right click on the USB Stick and select Change drive letter.

If the USB Stick does not show up under disk management, then other tools will be required, such as a third party partition manager.
