Correct way to backup libraries, with thumbs, fanart, everything

I know about exporting the library. But that is saving only the data, not the images... and sometimes, for reasons unknown, XBMC seems to lose track of thumbs, even if they are where they are supposed to be.
Are .nfo files better?

The easiest way to save the entire Minix Xbmc is to copy the folder "hk.minix.xbmc" (found at "/storage/sdcard0/Android/Data") to a different location, or pen drive, or other physical support. That will save the entire thing, yet when you restored it back -by copying it back from the backup place into the original location- it will hold everything in place.

The way I do it is about the same, except that I remove the "Thumbnails" folder from inside "hk.minix.xbmc/files/.Xbmc/userdata", and also the "textures13.db" file from inside "hk.minix.xbmc/files/.Xbmc/userdata/Database", but that is because I trust all Thumbnails are normally restored back automatically, but I also don't care that much of some of them, by whatever reason, don't. Removing these saves time and size.

I quit on using whatever add-ons to backup as some behaved incorrectly in the past and gave me more trouble, and consequently consumed more of my time, than my brute force method.:)
