I noticed the M.2 stick is SATA (it has 2 notches for M+B keys), but the slot on the motherboard has only got 1 key (M key?).
Does the NGC-1 M.2 support NVMe drives (M key only), or only SATA (M+B keys, like the stock SSD)?
Thanks!
Looking as this image it looks like there can be some NVMe SSD with both B & M.
The more I read the more I get confused!!!
Ahhh, this clears it all up!
"M/B key NVMe SSDs are compatible with M key NVMe SSDs. Both types of NVMe SSDs are designed to be plugged into the M.2 slot on a motherboard, and they use the same NVMe protocol for communicating with the host system. However, the key on the M/B key NVMe SSD is notched differently than the key on the M key NVMe SSD, so they are not interchangeable. The key on the M/B key NVMe SSD is notched in such a way that it can be inserted into the M key NVMe SSD slot, but the M key NVMe SSD cannot be inserted into the M/B key NVMe SSD slot."
