Sorry, just want to help.
Marty please leave this in the forum.
I don't want to advertise, I just want to show what is possible inexpensively and that you can have a lot of fun with Minix.
This works with Windows and Android.
Use the private version of Wavepad for this.
With the right setting, you can do a lot with the microphone input. Record and edit.
But an audio, video grabber is better because you have a lot more options.

This is not intended to represent advertising or to encourage buying, but only serves to provide information about what is possible.

With the video grabber you can digitize old music tapes and VHS videos and save and edit them as video or audio files on your PC.
You can then burn this as an audio or video file as a CD or DVD or as an Mp3 cd.
You can also play the file from USB or SSD on your television.
The TVs usually have an integrated USB player. With a video converter you can create the right video codec for your television and make the file smaller.
But remember, if you make it smaller, this always affects the quality of the recording. But this way you can save 3 films on one DVD.
IFun Video Converter, with this you can also create films for VR 3D glasses.
That's how I do it
