First install

all went pete tong for me o_O

followed instructions to activate windows OK with no SSD installed, all worked OK
disabled the eMMC within the BIOS menu before inserting the SSD
inserted the SDD as per 1st photo
and then get as per 2nd image when turning G41 on

now just get 2nd image with either
turning on the G41 with eMMC reenabled with the SSD in
and turning on the G41 with eMMC reenabled with the SSD removed

so now G41 doesnt work at all :(

any ideas ??
I figured it out.
At the very beginning, the eMMC has not been disabled, and the eMMC is at the "Boot Option #1".
Before installing the SSD, you have disabled the eMMC, then the BIOS cannot find another boot option on for any OS, so it automatically make the UEFI as the "Boot Option #1".
The second picture is exactly the UEFI user interface.
So, to go to SSD correctly, you should double check if the SSD is at the "Boot Option #1" in BIOS after installing the SSD.
And, whenever you have this problem (picture 2) again, just go to the BIOS to double check if the boot option is in right order.

Yes thanks, we figured that out amongst ourselves !

I simply followed the instuctions that came provided with the SSD, maybe Minix should look at getting them corrected ;)

My first OS upgrade (windows update) was in eMMC , from 1809 to 1903.
(I don't remember if i used intel drivers like in J50C-4 ) :
https://theminixforum.com/index.php...iver-must-install-before-windows-update.1965/

But i think i did not use that audio driver.
Appeared to me a message on the screen (sound driver , don't remember well the message, but i think it was the audio message like in J50C-4) but i was able to confirm the message and continue the installation.

I have now installed OS in SSD (installed from scratch ), the 1903 image from this forum works perfect.

This device is working very well for me ☺

I finally succeed manual windows updates.

i went from 1803 to 1809 and then to 1903.
No issue at all.

Just one thing : I had to wait about 30 minutes after the first reboot.
I thought that Windows was blocked.

We have to wait until Windows continues to boot.

We must warn users that this can happen.

Indeed it can happen.
It is very slow windows updates example:
1809 to 1903.
It is much faster upgrading from minix image, of course we lose all we had installed.
I tested installed (and i have now on SSD 1903) and both drives (SSD and eMMC) were formatted also in NTFS .
In the future i might do a windows upgrade because if i use Minix image i think both SSD and eMMC will be formatted again.
