OTA version being pushed nr is 20211105, which makes believe it was made back in 05 November.
It seems to be the one I, amongst others, had trouble with. Unless this gets officially clarified, it should be used with extreme caution IMO, or preferably not at all, especially if you are the owner of a functional U22.
Ah, ok, but if I've got to manually flash, then I'll just wait for FW008 to be available, I can't be bothered to manual flash to FW006A just so that I can FOTA to FW008. But thanks anyway.
There's something seriously weird about this box: I eventually tried to flash FW006, USB burning tool hangs for minutes at 25% then stops with an error. I tried a flash with full erase, and it did the same. I recalled I had root at some point, so flashed to FW006 + root, and that worked. Boot (takes a while), then check FOTA: no update available. Checks that root is indeed off (switch it on and off again), try to reboot the box, and it won't boot again at all.
This box is mental, trying to figure things out is complete guesswork. I never had this kind of malarkey with any Minix boxes before.
*EDIT* unable to get to recovery either, so trying to flash with USB burning tool again!
*EDIT 2* tried to burn FW006 non root again. "Surely going from FW006 root to FW006 non root will be no problem he said". Ah! Now trying to burn FW004!
*EDIT 3* managed to burn FW004 (failed 1st time, so tried again!), then FOTA to FW006A, and now FOTA tells me there's no update.

For some reason, I updated MCU from v3 to v4, power cycled, and FOTA now did find FW008? Not going to argue at this point.
So now eventually on FW008. Reason I took a while to jump on the bandwagon is that I was thinking that if FW008 gets nuked like my FW007 did, then FOTA inevitably won't find any future updates. Since it has been a while and FW008 is still live, I decided to bite the bullet.
It wasn't as easy as you'd expect though as per my previous message! Hopefully I won't have to go through this again. I had to do a full erase, so obviously all my stuff is gone. Seeing how little I've been using the box, I don't think I'll bother re-uploading whatever it was I had on it.
Lesson learnt: do not be an early adopter of a firmware update!
