Help me Please What Am I Not Doing Neo U9-H Not Connecting Via Ethernet Only Wi -Fi

Can anyone please advise me, firstly the basics. Neo U9-H Android 6.0.1 Build: FW00820180209.
Fibre 100mbs, Connected via TP Link into router 5GB outlet.
Yes this thing should sing but I cannot connect using my ethernet port.
In settings I have switched off wi fi.
Ethernet shows " Not Connected "
Ethernet Switch is " On"
Internet Connection "Not Connected "
I click the above but No Response.
If I choose Advanced gives me choices to change "Proxy and IP which is set at DHCP, I understand to leave these alone.
Faked wi fi " Off" also Samba
Finally having switched on " Ethernet Switch" I have tried to add "New Network" on all 4 choices.
Still not Connected via cable Only WiFi.
Can anyone give any advice/state the obvious that I may be missing?
Is there a conflict using TPLink?
Thanks in advance

possibly, try removing it from the network chain or at least power off and then on again
rebooting router may also help and wouldnt do any harm anyway
Thanks for this. My next job was to do just that, connect directly into router, its a pain as it means setting up another monitor to see if works?.
I wanted to check if I was missing something (hence the long description) obvious with the settings as surely ethernet should be first choice over wi fi.
Will try new set up and come back. BTW it works great over wi fi....just want to get the best I can I suppose.

What do you mean, connect directly into router? How is it connected now? Through a powerline? I guess that is what you mean by TPLink!

I guess you have tried swapping out Ethernet cables!?

I assume something like this

To answer all replies, the ethernet cable connects into a "Powerline (TPLink) like above and apologies for the confusion over TpLink/Powerline branding.
This is then plugged into my main electrical home circuit, this means theoretically, a steady signal can be acessed anywhere in the home without having to be close to the router.
I haven't tried changing the cable..you are correct, could be a faulty one.
Currently the box is connecting via Wi fi and as I said is working fine .

Can I also add and respectively request that my original post is looked at again.
In order to clarify that I have not missed anything or that I have done something that I should not have done, before embarking on further actions.

Looks OK to me other than i didnt undertsand Connected via TP Link into router 5GB outlet.

Turn off Wifi on the U9 and do as suggested in above posts

I have a few of those. The model in the pic works with the 2.4Ghz frequency. That is not a power line adapter, that is a wifi extender. There is a model, close to that one to the eye, which works with the 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz frequencies, not that particular one. There is nothing to gain from connecting the Minix to one of those via cable or getting its sign through wifi.

That said I agree with all the above advicing in order to connect a cable into it, yet I can't see any reason to do so when the machine to connect to it has wifi and Ethernet available, as it happens to be the case for the Minix box.

EDITED:
There are several models from TP-Link, and of course other makers, to make the electric housewires act as an ethernet network, you have to have at least two for it to work, one connects to the internet router and sends the signal along the electric wires to the other one (lets call it the receiver) at the spot where you need to connect your devices through the cable. Such is this one set:

Good Morning all.
Well having read all the very helpful post regarding my little conundrum.
I am pleased to announce that I have managed to overcome my problem.
The solution was to by pass connecting my UH-9 box via the TPLink/Powerline adapter and instead connect it directly into the router, switch off wifi, and switch on ethernet connection.
This worked a treat!
However after doing some tests the results of me doing this was disappointing as the speeds gained by doing this were unremarkable and not worth further investment into upgrading my TP/Poweline adaptor to handle the connection and moving the router closer to my UH-9 box.
So I will continue to use via wi-fi .
I will consider this issue now to be closed/resolved.
I would like to thank everybody who assisted me during this time and hopefully someone else will benefit from my experience in resolving this issue and help the forum to grow into a valuble infomative resource.

assuming you say you have 100Mb/s download you would normally expect to get a better rate at the minix using ethernet over wifi. The minix has gigabit ethernet so can easily manage 100Mb/s

What speeds are you getting and how are you measuring these,

If your not getting something around your expected full speed using ethernet I would suspect your router/network setup or maybe you have a vpn running.

Following on from the earlier post. I am pleased to say that having invested in a Cat8 cable connected directly into my router and switched off my Wifi.
I am now enjoying speeds that I would expect you can see a marked difference from 24 to 111mbps without using my VPN using Ookla speedtest.
You will see a slight drop to 106 mbps when I use my VPN so not too much hardship.
I am very pleased, I would recommend spending €18 for the 10 mtr cable or €80 for a range extender/TPLink/Powerline..enough said.
I will close this thread now and hope my journey helps others.
