High cpu usage

What average cpu usage are people seeing on their U22, I've noticed with kodi running (checking via system info screen) average cpu usage is around 40 to 50% and after powering on or rebooting & just sat on the minix metro launcher cpu usage is around 30 to 40% (using aida64 to check).

I've noticed my U22 is very laggy a lot of the time, this high cpu usage at idle might explain it & even after using the all task killer button on the minix metro launcher the usage still stays around 30-40%,there's no way that should be the case, is anyone else experiencing the same?

Well aida64 doesn't show individual core usage, kodi does when you press 'o' during playback, not all info for all 6 cores fits on screen but for the cores that are shown it's across multiple cores.

Not sure if this is a firmware bug, is anyone else seeing high cpu usage with this latest firmware? I'm seeing around 30 to 40% using aida64 to monitor, even after using the button on the Minix launcher to kill all running tasks.

With kodi running, pressing o to bring up the info panel during playback the cores are bouncing between 40 & 50%, that seems way too high to me is anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

Just installed AIDA64 to check and I'm getting 40 to 45% usage without running anything....Maybe the app is wrong

Are you experiencing any lag, I have from time to time, even with the Minix launcher itself which makes me think the reported high cpu usage is accurate.

That is not a normal behaviour.
Check your apps installed (maybe one of them or more are causing the problem).
Step by step uninstall the apps you don´t need (the more apps you install the more you start to lose control of the device)
 
Try another app like TinyCore. You can configure it to display a small GUI of CPU use including individual cores (as well as other system monitoring) to be displayed at all times. Can prove useful for keeping an eye on things across different apps or for comparison when the system is just idling.

May help you determine if it's truly constant.
 
Installed TinyCore to test, shows the same high cpu usage, so that's three different apps showing the same high cpu usage, beginning to look like the latest firmware has another bug as the cpu shouldn't be pegged that high constantly & it's still happening even after carrying out a factory reset.

Suppose it depends which and how many apps you are allowing to start-up at boot.

Personally I use All-in-One Toolbox (available from Google Play) and the Boot Speed-up function to only allow a very small number of apps to open.
