I need Unroot file for RC2

Hi guys, I've updated my x8-h plus to lollipop RC2 like 2 years ago. i cant seem to find the thread in the site, even my account is missing so i created a new one.... I need the unroot img coz some apps cant be installed if root is detected. if you could also post the tut coz i forgot how.

Welcome to the new forum, the old forum is gone along with all posts so we had to start from scratch here.

What you are referring to was the root/unroot for Kitkat, the Lollipop version was never rooted so there were no files for unrooting. With that said you are reporting that root is detected so....

Maybe you have forgotten what ROM you flashed so it could have been Finless or Marty SPMC which were both rooted, if this is the case then I would suggest flashing the original firmware again:

If your app still reports root then the only thing I can suggest is to root your unit and then use SuperSU to remove the root:

Hi Marty, Thanks for the reply, but i am certain that it's a lolipop RC2 version (i decide to updrade coz i wanna install KODI at that time), i will double check later after work what codename it has. i dont actually want to reflash other ROM coz I am not having any problem on this version. if I remember correctly I downloaded the files, full firmware img and unroot/root img. i didnt unroot my device coz i have no reason to do so back then... now i need to unroot coz the "Cignal Play" app wont open with rooted devices (its a local streaming app on my country). :oops::oops::oops:
 
At the time, on the old forum, I had shared some images and packages to root, but didn't have them anymore ...

Hi guys im just trying to remember the process, its been at least 2 years so i may be wrong... I am sure its lolipop RC2 (I update so i can use KODI) new versions of kodi doesnt work on kitkat... I used a computer on my device and after successful update. i saved a file in a USB for unroot if i want to later. the problem is i misplaced the USB...

I tried the SuperSU trick but it says device is not rooted...

The app may be detecting the bootloader, the file i may need maybe to replace the bootloader... boot or uboot for RC2 (just my guess)

if there is no other solution I may be forced to reflash, i just hope no problem on the new firmware....

I still suspect the app is giving a false negative, I would contact the developer and ask why root is being reported despite not being rooted.

If you use TWRP to make a backup of your Data partition then you can restore this after a flash and you will lose nothing. Here is the link but instead of replacing the stock recovery just use TWRP on the SD Card:
