I want to run ext. hard disks from my box's usb3 ports using 6 Seagate ST2000LM007-1R8174 2000.3 GB 300/600 are these disks supported ? and fast enough for 4K ?
How should they be formatted ? they come with exfat but I re formatted them with ntfs, is the box compatible with this format. I also want to use a usb3 powered hub ?
Any comments or suggestions would be welcome - thank you for your time.

Those are 2TB 2.5" drives, yes?

The simple answer is that yes, they should work. The powered USB HUB to connect the drives to the minix is the only way to go. An unpowered hub would result in very erratic behavior. I have some WD 2TB 2.5" portable drives I use on my U22-XJ, and I have a LOT of 4K material. I have never had an issue with playback.

All my external HD's are formatted to NTFS

I have never had an issue with my remote, so not sure what happened to you. But, I do have a question. How many HD's do you have plugged directly into the Minix box? By directly I mean, no USB HUB. My experience has been that having more than 1 Minix USB port connected to external drives can result in erratic behavior.

I hope some of that helps.
